Monday 5-8-00

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning discussing Huskers in Jail. A player by the name of Mark Vedrell was arrested over the weekend for first degree sexual assault (A.K.A. rape). As you can imagine, TnT had an absolute heyday with that story. The guys also took some time today to discuss their fishing tournament that took place on Saturday. Several of the participants, as well as a few folks from the SS Stinkbait called in to give their take on the day’s events. All in all, everyone had a good time.

Lisa’s List this morning was comprised of the top 10 teen-angst movies (yes, I had to hit E!-online and find out how to spell “angst”). The guys spent some time going over their own guesses and then asked for listeners to check in and help them complete the list. It didn’t take log for them to finish up and, surprisingly, there weren’t as many disagreements with this morning’s list as there have been lists in the past. Republican Senate candidate Scott Moore came in studio this morning and hung out for a bit. As usual, TnT didn’t really discuss any issues with Scott. Instead, they had Scott and Tubby Grogan faced off for a battle of the minds that turned out to be pretty funny. The guys also talked about Scott’s current position as Secretary of State for Nebraska. Before he left, Scott wanted to spread the word about voting and encouraged every listener to do so. So tomorrow, when you all go out to vote, make sure you put a big, fat checkmark for the Arena Vote and for MECCA. TnT spoke with their buddy Dr. John this morning. He talked a little bit about his court case, the jury selection process and more. Later this week, the jury (and the Omahains for Decency) will be watching 6-hour blocks of Dr. John’s videos in yet another lame attempt to deem them obscene. Dr. John also discussed how well his business is doing (thanks, I’m sure, to a large number of TnT listeners frequenting the store). Stay tuned for more details on the Dr. John trials.

Towards the end of the show, Tyler told us all of an incident that happened last night in which his girlfriend slapped him in the sack. He said they were wrestling around when he felt a bowel burp coming on. In his infinite wisdom, he tried to swing his ass up to his woman’s face for the oh-so-loving fart facial when she clocked him in the boys with a vicious smack. Needless to say, that put an end to his fun. His story of testicular trauma spawned some calls from listeners who wanted to share their own stories. The big debate over nut shots/giving birth reared it’s ugly head again but the guys put an end to that rather quickly. I guess the moral to the story is “Don’t point your balls at Becky”.

Well, that’s the update for Monday. The guys were sort of all over this morning covering a plethora of topics and ideas. It was a great show and if you missed it, you should be caught up now.
