Tuesday 5-9-00

The show started off this morning with a semi-annual and rather spontanious meltdown from Todd. There was some reflector-covered moron in the middle of L Street when he came in to work holding up traffic. I’m sure longtime listeners are aware of Todd’s hatred for bicyclists on busy streets and this morning, he reiterated his points. Also early in the show, the guys talked more about the Mark Vedral rape charge. Donnie worked up another great Husker training film audio clip that I’m sure we’ll be hearing for the next few months. The guys also started in with their Arena push bright and early in an effort to get as many votes for the Arena as they possibly can. This continued throughout the show.

Lisa’s List this morning was comprised of the top 9 soundtracks of all time. She was a little reluctant to read the list because there were some hateful people on the message board who don’t like them but she went ahead and read this morning’s list anyway. As usual, the list caused quite a bit of anger in Todd and Tyler as several obvious suggestions were not on the list. The guys and their callers made plenty of great suggestions and guesses before they finally managed to nail down all 9 (that’s “all 9” not “caller 9”).

TnT sent Slave Boy Chris out to several voting places this morning and had him post up more “A vote for the Arena is a vote for Todd and Tyler” signs. He stopped at many places around town and tried to take an exit poll from some of the people who went in to vote. Unfortunately, he was shut down by the voting official volunteer people because he didn’t have an “exit poll permit”.

Even though Chris was not allowed to talk to voters, many of them called into the show. I believe 100% of the callers voted for the arena and wanted to tell TnT about it. Some callers checked in to say how easy it was while others tried to describe the wording and location on the ballet of the Arena issue. Even more called in to report that there were “busloads of blue hairs” being shipped in. That thought frightened TnT because they know the blue hairs vote no on everything. After that report, they further extended their push for the Yes voters to get out and make a difference.

As you can imagine, the Arena issue and voting was by far the biggest topic of the day and seemed to consume a majority of the show. Todd and Tyler have promised us they’d talk about sex tomorrow so make sure to tune in. Also, join TnT at the Arena Sports Bar located on 90th between Fort and Maple Streets. The guys will be having an Arena voting celebration and victory party this evening starting at 8pm. They hope to see all of you there. So after you get off work, stop by and vote YES for the Arena and MECA, go home and get cleaned up (trust me, you need it) and then head on out to Todd and Tyler’s party.
