Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning discussing a variety of topics. There was some Dr. John talk which lead into a discussion about how the same people going after him might eventually try to go after Todd and Tyler. They chatted about an article in the paper regarding local bands. Lisa came in late due to locking her keys in her apartment and then shared that story. Eventually, I’m sure, the guys will get around to spilling the beans bout Lisa’s new gig. Various references have been made to it this week and as near as I can tell, she’ll be gonzo from the show in about 3 weeks. If you’re interested, call the show and try to get TnT to fill us in on Lisa’s new job. The guys played a hate call they got from a lady named Jan. They also replayed a clip from that call over and over all morning long. If you missed it, I’m sure you’ll get the chance to hear Jan’s potty mouth again tomorrow.

The guys talked with comedian Percy Crews who will be at the Funny Bone next week. He talked about doing comedy on a cruise ship and relayed the status of cruise ship pie to TnT. Look forward to Percy joining TnT next week.

Lisa read a news story about some young actor who offed himself in the Bellagio hotel in Vegas the other day. TnT called the hotel and asked to speak with the young actor. The lady at the front desk said he’d “checked out” to which the guys responded something along the lines of “Yes he did.” Later, they called back and asked to speak with the now-dead actor. The receptionist put them on the phone with a guy from hotel security. Todd acted like he had no idea the man they were asking for was dead. The security guy on the phone said he couldn’t tell him any information but would send him to someone who could. At that point, the guys hung up convinced the call was being traced. They called back one more time later in the show as the dead guy to check for any messages.

TnT spoke with Wink Martindale this morning. Wink and the guys talked about his very long career as a game show host. In fact, Wink has hosted 19 game shows in the last 150 years. They also discussed how he got his start and joked about the horrible voice-over-singing things he recorded in the 60’s. Wink was pretty funny and seemed to enjoy talking with the guys. David Beck from the Funny Bone stopped in today. He talked about Virginia a little bit and joined in on the topics of the day. He also seemed to get a kick out of the plethora of past hate calls TnT played during the last half of the show. Catch David opening for Medicinehat this weekend. Janglepop came in studio this morning and played a couple of tunes for TnT. They did a great cover of “Give Me Three Steps” and their original tune was very cool too. You can catch Janglepop at the Anchor Inn on Saturday for the Battle of the Bands.
