Todd and Tyler started off the show talking about Lisa a little bit. It seems she decided to take this morning off a few weeks ago but didn’t bother to tell anyone until last night. The guys are obviously a little sick of Lisa phoning it in, them not knowing whether or not she’s even there in the morning until 2 minutes before news time, her leaving early, showing up for work 4 out of 5 days and so on. In what seemed a friendly poke of retaliation, the guys let it slip that Lisa did indeed get a TV gig in Tucson that will begin in about 3 weeks. She’ll be leaving the show, of course, and no further details were given as to whether or not she’ll be replaced or who will be replacing her. For now, I believe they’re quite happy with bootie call Brian Houston, how sat in for Lisa again today.

Also very early in the show, TnT spoke with their comedy buddy Ken Severa. They talked a little baseball and bashed on the Cubs for a bit. From there, the guys read a few hate posts on the message board and replayed Masturbation Jan’s hate call from the other morning. TnT also spent nearly an hour talking about getting some sort of trailer to haul the Chub to Kansas on for the November Husker game in Manhattan. Yes, that’s right, it’s July 14th and they spent an hour making preparations for a Saturday afternoon football game in freak’n November.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and gave a commentary on the show “Survivor”. He really didn’t have much to contribute to the show other than that. Larry will probably check in via the phone again next week so stay tuned.

Dodge County Duke stopped by today and fell apart in the studio. The essence of his visit consisted mainly of “God Damn it” bombs and “the anti-Husker fan’s mom” references.

J Medicinehat came by and spent some time with TnT today. He talked about some of his recent shows and took calls from fans that had been to see him during this visit. You can catch him at the Bone through Sunday night. By the way, his Monday night X-rated show has been moved to Sunday night. If you’re one of the few people who paid cash in advance for the Monday night show, you need to call Colleen at 493-8036 about the show’s move.

As a closer to the Game Show week, TnT sent Big Pussy out to find the local host of the game show “Dialing for Dollars” that aired locally all over the country. They found the guy, named George Murphy, and spoke to him about the old TV show. They also let him ramble on for a bit about his current gig as the MC for an arts and crafts show. For an old guy, he seemed pretty cool but I think some of TnT’s references went a bit over his head (Tyler dropped the “shrimping” bomb on him).

Ox 45 came in studio this morning and did a few tunes for TnT. They sounded great. If you missed them, catch them at the Anchor Inn with Todd and Tyler tomorrow night as part of the big Battle of the Bands competition.
