Todd and Tyler started off this morning’s show talking about having a running character/caller Survivor bit. The idea was to stick all of Donnie’s characters, along with real callers, on an island and let listeners vote off which characters they don’t like. They took some suggestion calls from listeners as to who they wanted on the island but it seemed a majority of the callers on this topic were actually from old running characters we haven’t heard a call from in a long time like Paul and Salad Guy. This may take place later in the week so stay tuned.

The Houston Lawn Singers made another appearance on the show this morning. This time, they performed “Omaha Junction” as a direct stab at the city prosecutor, Marty Convoy and his seemingly personal attacks on Dr. John’s store allegedly. After a fix to the length of the beep, the gang replayed the clip all morning long. They had to fix the bleep because the felt a certain 4-letter word referred to as “the C-bomb” was a little too easy to understand. The guys also played the “Making Of” for this song but were annoyed at the echo effect and wouldn’t repeat it.

TnT spoke with Mark Burnette, executive producer of “Survivor”, again this morning. They talked about the rumors circulating the Internet about the winner of the show, talked about some more behind-the-scenes stuff and gave us a brief preview of what to expect on upcoming shows. TnT will probably talk to him again soon.

With more talk about Lisa leaving the show, the guys thought they’d try out one of their female callers for the news chick position. Her name was Laura and she’d made a few funny calls to the show today. Anyway, she phoned in and TnT asked her about herself. From there, they had her read something (to make sure she was literate). I’m not sure the quick test of Laura will prove to be beneficial but it was funny to listen to.

Towards the end of the show, Todd asked a hypothetical question about how a man’s children might view his new girlfriend shortly after the man and his wife split up. Unfortunately, the only person in the room with experience in such a thing was Donnie who, obviously, came from a broken home. So Donnie got on the mike to share his wonderful stories and details about his parent’s divorce and Cups’ subsequent girlfriends (such as the one they called “Creature”, very funny stuff).
