| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 08-07-2000 Monday 8-7-00 Todd and Tyler returned to the air this morning after a weeklong vacation. Without going into a great deal of detail, both TnT talked briefly about their out of town experiences. Tyler went east and Todd went southwest. Even though they both said they had a great time, they admitted to not feeling refreshed. You couldnt tell it from todays show, however. The guys were in top forum and it was awesome to hear them back on the air. Speaking of vacations, even Donnie made it out of Omaha last week by venturing to Kansas City with Caller 9. Unfortunately, he had a trimming accident while trying to shorten up his throck-related hair and ended up taking a chuck out of his package. It was a scary story and an even scary visual when Donnie described the immediate aftermath. Also early in the show, the guys played a hate call that weekend DJ chick Lynn Taylor received on Sunday. The guy in the hate call bashed TnT even though he seemed to understand why they are the #1 show in Omaha. Lynn seemed to do her best in setting the caller straight even if she admitted to not liking everything TnT say herself. Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and delivered a commentary on the death tax. For the most part, Larry seemed to fixate his jokes around the what next, tax pooping philosophy. It was quite amusing. Larry also spent a little time talking about when he and Todd met up in AZ last week. Larry was trying to hook Todd up with some tickets to the Blue-Collar comedy tour that Larrys on but it would seem that Foxworthy is a tight ass. Keep tuned in for more Larry the Cable Guy as the week moves on. A caller early in the show mentioned that tomorrow is Diekman Day, the holiday established by Todd and Tyler last year and re-introduced during this years Men get screwed on getting their own day Fathers Day/Mothers Day talk from a few months ago. TnT offered up their services to call any of their listeners wives/girlfriends and inform them of Diekman Day. In the early part of the show, no men called to take TnT up on their offer to inform. Later in the show, however, many men checked in and asked for TnTs help. The guys called quite a few listeners wives/girlfriends to inform them of Diekman Day. It didnt seem like many of the women they got a hold of in their first few attempts met the idea with open arms (or whatever). The more people TnT called the more the women started to open up. By the end of the show, TnT had helped countless men. Im sure theyll be bringing up Diekman Day again tomorrow so all of you men be ready to receive. On a sad note, this morning was Lisas last day with TnT. A great deal of todays show centered around her departure. As weve all known for a few weeks now, Lisa is moving to AZ to take a TV gig and today, she said her good-byes. The guys didnt want Lisas last show to be a sad occasion so they did their best to keep things upbeat. Although the occasional tear crept out, everyone seemed to be having fun and the good-byes were very sweet. Gene from the Brass Grille (1207 Harney) came by and made Lisa an omelet while Scotty from Husker Hounds came in and gave Lisa a huge Husker-related gift package. The guys played a tribute clip of some of the great out-of-context things Lisas said while on the TnT show. Donnie tried to get Coach Franky on the phone but he was busy. Instead, his secretary joined TnT in wishing Lisa a nice farewell. Jonna from Liquid Courage came in studio and touched up Lisas Husker helmet tattoo. Poor Lisa was in some serious pain although she tried to lead on as though it didnt hurt that bad. Lisas mom, who was supposed to be in studio at about the same time as the tattoo, ended up leaving while the touch-up was taking place. She did, however, return later in the show and joined TnT in talking to and with Lisa about her time on the Todd and Tyler show. The show ended today with a very emotional thank you from Lisa to TnT. It was very touching. Lisa has been more than a bootie call for Todd and Tyler when they needed a fill-in news chick. She was actually friends with TnT. She played along with them better than any past news girl, she never threw staplers at them and not once did she think of weaseling her way into her own radio show on a crappy polka station. Lisa, well all miss you and we wish you the best of luck in Arizona. Well, thats the end of the update today. Check back tomorrow for the Tuesday show. It will be different without our favorite news chick but with Husker season coming up soon, well be hearing Lisas kind voice on the phone with TnT in no time. I need a tissue. Thanks for watching. Good night. the Alien Guy-
