The majority of this morning’s TnT show was spent talking to Donnie and Slave Boy Chris. They called right away and checked in throughout the show. The duo set out on a voyage to the Sturgis motorcycle rally after yesterday’s show and arrived some time around 9pm. They stayed with rock-n-roll hypnotist J Medicinehat but they really didn’t talk much about that. J was probably out and about all evening; has a tenancy to do that.

Donnie and Chris went to the location of the Sturgisrally.com web cam and stood in front of it for a few minutes. Later, they hung a Z-92 banner on a trashcan in view of the camera. The banner fell off shortly after they left but it was there nonetheless. I think they did it to prove to the listeners that they were actually there. Believe it or not, there are still morons who don’t believe that TnT really sent Donnie to Miami for the Super Bowl.

Chris and Donnie ran around looking for all sorts of things. A few of TnT’s listeners checked in with information on who they should go see. They ended up looking for a camper “by the wood pile”. After they found the people they were supposed to, TnT spoke to them all on the air. One 19-year-old girl, Dawn, wasn’t there, however. She’d been out all night. TnT got a kick out of that. Later in the show, Dawn came back and talked to TnT. The guys convinced her to show Chris and Donnie her breasts. It took a little bargaining, though. They had to give her a T-shirt, hat and several CDs before she would show them. Another woman they spoke to wouldn’t show her goods. The two Gullivers also put TnT on the phone with one of those religious bikers. He started rambling on and on so TnT got rid of him. They then scolded Donnie and Chris and told them not to track down any more God bikers.

Perhaps the funniest part of the whole Sturgis bit was the fact that Chris and Donnie were listening to the show on hold through the phone for 4 ½ hours. Todd was quite amused by the constant ticking of the “on hold” clock as it stretched above the 200-minute mark.

TnT had a conversation with Lee Ermey this morning. If you’re not familiar with the name, you’re familiar with his character. His most well known roll was the drill instructor in Stanley Kubrick’s “Full Metal Jacket”. He’s been in many other movies as well. They guys talked to him about Kubrick and what kind of a guy he was; they then moved on to discuss how he got into show business. Lee said he got started in films as a technical advisor on some war movies. Due to his background in the military, he was a perfect choice to make sure filmmakers were getting everything correct. From there, he sort of fell into the world of acting/advising and has been doing it ever since. The guys even touched on Lee’s appearance in a Coors commercial with a computerized John Wayne. Lee said he’s still working now but enjoys playing golf and watching his fighting cocks. I swear to God the guy has chickens in his house. They were going off during the entire interview. Todd and Tyler are supposed to be recording an interview with Joe Walsh today. If that goes through, they’ll be airing the interview for us tomorrow. Lisa Volonek will be back again to provide us with the ever-so-important news of the day. Donnie and Slave Boy Chris should be back in time for tomorrow’s show.
