Todd and Tyler started off the show today talking with Lisa Volinec about the audio trouble on Fox’s newscast last night. Lisa seemed quite pissed that someone at the station didn’t turn on the mikes for the first 2 minutes of the news. Travis was off work last night so he wasn’t around when all the trouble occurred but everyone speculated that he would have been very upset had it happened to him.

The guys discussed the Gap vest commercial that has been airing every couple of minutes for the past week or so. It’s the funky “Gonna dress you up with my love” song being sung by a bunch of androgynous model types clad in Gap vests as the camera pans right. Tyler started off complaining about the commercial but then seemed to change his tone when he talked about the women who appear in it. They came to the conclusion that the Gap ad is an attempt to take some business away from Old Navy’s “Tech vests”. No one really understood why the fasion people are trying to bring back the vests. After all, the puffy vest thing died about the same time as Michael J. Fox’s appearance in “Back To The Future”.

Larry the Cable Guy called in this morning and gave a commentary on relationships. I was a little disappointed by today’s commentary but hopefully you found it funny. Larry’s coming back to the Funny Bone towards the latter part of September. Larry may check in one more time this week so stay tuned.

Dr. Ed came in this morning for his monthly visit. He hung out for a few hours and took questions from the hosts and listeners. They talked about men coughing and sneezing until their nads hurt, plungers in the butt, benefits to recreational drugs and many other topics. Dr. Ed seemed to enjoy his stay, as always, and will be back sometime in September.

Dicky Ryan came in studio today. He’s a 9th rated professional boxer from Omaha. He talked to the guys about the possibility of getting a match with Tyson. They also discussed his last fight (which was overseas) where he nearly killed his apponant. The guys kept bringing up some stories that their listeners had told them about Dicky’s past but he seemed to shy away from them. He’s a very cool guy and had fun with TnT. Dicky will be fighting Friday night at Harvey’s so stop on out and see him. He’ll be the second to last fight of 6 or 7. Call Harvey’s for ticket information.

Mark Gross from the Funny Bone came in today. He just returned from the Montreal Comedy Festival. The guys asked him about the festival and discussed who he saw and met. They also found out that Mark has a development deal (like every other comedian on the planet) with a television network. They talked about him travelling and living in LA now. Another comedy friend of TnT’s, Vilmoshe, came in today. He’s not appearing at the Bone this week but he was in the area so he stopped in. He brought his son Vilmoshe with him as well. He hung out and had fun joking around with TnT, the doctor, Dicky and Mark Gross. Make sure to catch his act the next time he’s in town.
