TnT Show 08-25-1999

Wednesday 8-25-99

Todd and Tyler started off this morning’s show by talking about the movie “Seven”. They overviewed and debated the 7 deadly sins and had some help from listeners as well. I don’t know how or why the topic was brought up but it was discussed nonetheless.

After yesterday’s Flash Back show, Todd and Tyler felt like they had to do something to prop up their current staff. In an amusing attempt to make Donnie and Travis, the only two stable (I use that loosely) TnT show staff members left, feel better they came up with the following. Listeners were asked to check in if they had to pay more than 62% of their income towards child support like Donnie or if they have less sex than Travis. The only calls regarding a lack of sex came from a guy who’s wife had some sort of cancer. It was quite a bummer and definitely not what TnT were looking for. So, needless to say, there isn’t anyone in Omaha having less sex than Travis is.

On the other hand of the topic, TnT received countless calls from listeners who were paying more than Donnie in child support. After hearing some of the stories, TnT were curious if any females had to pay child support to their ex-husbands. They got a few calls about it but there was a rather disturbing trend. Almost all of those sort of calls revolved around the women being crank hoes or only having to pay $25/month instead of $500/month like most of the men. The topic continued on for a while but I’ll explain that in a moment.

Today was the first day for listeners to qualify for the Todd-N-Tyler 100 at National Indoor Carting. Slave Boy Chris went out to the track and managed the qualifications. About 15 listeners showed up to try to gain a spot in Saturday’s event including one female who was pretty much guaranteed a spot. I can’t remember her name but Slave Boy Chris did say that she had a ”nice rack”. The qualifications will continue during tomorrow’s show and further details on Saturday’s event will be given in the next few days.

TnT had a conversation with former wrestler Captain Lou Albano today. I remember Captain Lou as being a fat, bearded guy with rubber bands hanging off of his face. Anyway, Lou was promoting a book he’d written titled “A Complete Idiot’s Guide to Wrestling”. TnT didn’t get the chance to say much to him because he had obviously sucked down a couple of quarts of highly caffinated coffee before the call. He ranted about the old days of wrestling, told TnT that wrestling today is in serious trouble and slipped in countless plugs for his book. It was an interesting conversation but it exhausted me.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and gave a commentary on the ex-wrestler Sable. She recently appeared in Playboy and Larry had a few words to say about that. Truthfully, I didn’t hear the entire commentary. I was attempting to learn some new software for my work so I was tied up for a few minutes. Larry may check in again later in the week so look forward to another commentary from him.

TnT spoke with former Husker and current Arizona Cardinal Joel Macavika. I’ve got no idea how to spell his name properly and frankly I don’t have the time to look it up. I believe that Lisa Volinec who gave me the impression that she wants Joel in the worst way set up the interview. Joel had commented on how much he didn’t like living in AZ so TnT talked to him about that for a bit. The interview didn’t last very long so there’s not much to write about it.

Comedian Diane Alimo checked in with TnT this morning. She’s going to be in town on Saturday for one of her corporate gigs. During yesterday’s show, one of the guys had made a reference that sparked the visiting Emjay to remark about having one of Diane’s uncles hurt TnT. So Diane figured she’d check in. The conversation then led into a big discussion about the Mob and mob movies. Later, the guys talked her into coming out to Saturday’s go-kart race as well so if you’re going to be there, look for her.

The latter half of the show was spent taking calls from listeners telling horror stories about divorce settlements and child support. There were too many calls to document here but after listening to the calls it’s obvious that the social structure between men and women in our country really sucks.

Well, that’s it for today’s update. Check back tomorrow for another one. Thanks for watching. Good night. –the Alien Guy-
