Todd and Tyler started off their show today by discussing the Lifetime Channel. Tyler mentioned that he was watching a show last night with his girlfriend. As in most Lifetime movies, the man in the story was made out to be a real jerk. Possibly drawing some correlation between the male character’s actions in the movie and Tyler, Tyler’s girlfriend started getting upset at him. While discussing the argument and the stupid reason it came about, a caller brought up another interesting point. He said his wife gets mad at him for things he does in her dreams. Both of the hosts seemed to be able to relate to such a thing. The guys spent some time trying to figure out why women get mad at men for things the men have no control over. There was no definite resolution to the problem, however it’s simple just to say that some women are just nuts. Not all women (especially not the ones reading today’s update) but the women with tenancies such as yelling at your man because you dreamt he cheated on you or getting mad at him because the character in the movie does something mean and it reminds you of your man.

There was also some discussion today about people backing out of weddings. I believe the topic came about after discussing movies. Someone had mentioned “Runaway Bride”, the Julia Roberts flick. In the movie, she keeps leaving guys at the altar. Many callers checked in with stories that were along the same vein. There weren’t really any tales of people actually being left at the alter but all of the stories did have something to do with leaving someone slightly before a scheduled wedding. Todd and Tyler joked around about which of the stories they’d heard were most eligible to become movies on the Lifetime Channel in the future.

Slave Boy Chris was back out at National Indoor Carting on Giles and 137th Circle this morning qualifying more people for Saturday’s Todd-N-Tyler 100. The guys checked in with him several times throughout the show. There seemed to be a much better listener response this morning because Chris was always quite busy. Towards the end of the show, Todd and Tyler revealed that they’d be taking the slowest 10 times instead of the fastest times in an attempt to rid Saturday’s race of serious sandbaggers. I swear I heard a collective groan from all those participants who practiced for months to get a spot in TnT’s go-kart race. Too bad for them. This year’s race should be interesting as the guys pit the worst of the qualifiers (and also the ladies with “big cans”) against each other. It should be fun so stop on out Saturday and see the event. The guys are even going to have a band there to entertain you.

Craig White from the Funny Bone came in this morning. He mentioned that he was getting married for the 4th time this September. He also told TnT that he’d been a PI for years. Both of those facts sort of fit in well into today’s topics quite well. Throughout the show Craig interjected stories about relationships and such that he’d seen over the years as a PI. At one point in the show, he was telling a story about the typical investigations that he used to do. The man would start “helping” a girl at the office. Later, the “helping” would turn into “lunch meetings”. From there they’d go for “drinks to discuss her troubles”. After that, it always lead into the helper helping the helpee take her pants off. As Craig was relaying the typical story for cheating husbands, Todd and Tyler were laughing hysterically in the background. At the same time, Donnie was storming into the studio to find out which one of the guys had told Craig about his recent marital problems and the symptoms that lead up to his divorce. Not surprisingly, no one had told Craig what Donnie had recently been through. It just turns out that what Donnie did in the past is the exact same thing that thousands of men have done and are doing all over the country. And Donnie thought he was being original… Craig was one of the more interesting guests TnT have brought in studio lately. Not only was he very funny, but he also had interesting, relevant stories to share on the discussions of the day. Alan Rosenburg came in studio today as well. He and his wife Marg Helgenberger (the blonde hooker on “China Beach” and former resident of North Bend) were in studio about a month ago. Alan also brought his wife’s mother in studio with him. Marg’s mother once taught Donnie Health class when he was in school in the big NB. Alan is in town for the Special Friends Celebration Golf Tournament taking place at the Field Club this weekend. The event is to help raise awareness of breast cancer. TnT spoke to his wife who is somewhere in Canada shooting a made for TV movie. They discussed Marg living in North Bend, talked about some more of the films the two had been in, discussed the golf tournament and also touched on naked pictures of Marg on the Internet. Donnie went to the computer and found a site that had a photo claiming to be Marg nude. Once it was pulled up, Donnie printed a copy and brought it in studio. Marg, still on the phone, said it couldn’t have been her and seemed a little upset that something like that was available to anyone who knew how to get it. After reviewing the photo, Alan and Marg’s mother both said that it was not really a photo of Marg. She was relieved. The guests were quite cool and everyone seemed to enjoy their time with Todd and Tyler this morning. You can call 354-2323 for information on the tournament this weekend.

Todd and Tyler also had an interview with country music legend Willie Nelson. He phoned the show to talk about his appearance at this year’s Nebraska State Fair. He’ll be opening up the festival by performing the first night. The guys talked with Willie about his career in the past and where it’s headed in the future. The guys were also sure to touch on Willie’s past problems with the IRS and his past and present pot use. Willie was very funny and didn’t seem to mind TnT touching on such topics. The interview was great. If you missed it, you can expect to hear that played on Saturday’s Best Of show.
