Friday 8-27-99

Todd and Tyler started the show off this morning by taking some really bad phone calls. Yes, it is indeed Friday. The calls were so horrible that the guys decided to replay their interview with Willie Nelson from yesterday’s show. After the interview, the guys spent some time talking about freaks of nature. The topic came about due to some discussion of fairs and sideshows. TnT also talked about a call they received yesterday, in which a woman said she’d asked her sister to help her give her husband a Diekman. Todd and Donnie thought such an idea was just too weird but Tyler said he thought it would be cool. “What do I care if they’re sisters?” So it’s pretty obvious that Becky’s sister is a hottie, too.

Later in the show, the guys started talking about doing nice things for their women in order to get sex. I believe Todd suggested that Tyler should do something nice for Becky “just to be nice” and without expecting anything in return. Tyler then said that he’d just done something nice for her last night. “I knocked it out with her” is, I believe, how he put it. After a while that conversation led into TnT talking about Travis not getting any. From there, the discussion morphed into TnT talking about Travis not drinking beer anymore. Travis has yet to give them an explanation for his behavior in which they’d accept.

Someone mentioned that Travis is having his new son baptized this weekend. The topic quickly turned to how much you should tip for such a service. TnT were both of the opinion that you should tip the religious guy performing the service but Donnie didn’t agree. Donnie claimed that you don’t need to tip them because they’re just doing their job. After debating for a while, Travis said he was planning on paying $50 for the baptism.

TnT had a conversation with former wrestler Mad Dog Vashon today. Mad Dog was a bit of a whack-job and rambled on for a while. Then he mentioned something about going out to Hooters to see the ladies. I think Mad Dog is going to open up a Tires Plus store or something.

Larry the Cable Guy called this morning. He asked TnT if he’d done his commentary on the artist who paints with, um, fecal matter. He had done the commentary about 2 months ago but the guys couldn’t exactly remember so they let him do it again. It was still pretty funny.

Dak Rakow from the Funny Bone came in this morning. Dak was incredibly funny and really seemed to enjoy his time on the show. He told TnT a story about Larry the Cable Guy and when he first started doing road comedy. Dak said that Larry had asked him for some help with his laundry. Larry had lived with his parents before going out on his own and hadn’t done his own laundry before. Dak told Larry what he needed to do and then decided he’d screw with him a bit. Dak told Larry that he could replace the starch in the wash with ½ a potato because “A potato is all starch anyway”. Larry fell for it and washed his clothes with a potato in the machine. Dak relayed a few other humorous stories about things he’d done to other comedians on the road as well. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations to see his show. TnT spoke with Joel Murray today. He’s in town this weekend as part of the Special Friends Celebration Celebrity Golf Tournament for breast cancer awareness. Joel is on “Dharma and Greg” and has been in several movies. He’s also Bill Murray’s brother. They talked about Joel’s brother, some of the movies Joel has been in and touched on some of the films his scenes have been cut out of. It was a pretty interesting conversation. I was nicely surprised at how funny Joel was.

Cheshire Grin stopped by for a bit this morning and played a few tunes for TnT. They sounded great. The band will be appearing along with Driven at tomorrow’s Todd-N-Tyler 100 at National Indoor Carting. The event starts at around 3pm so if you’re in the area, stop on out and witness the race.

The show was all over the board today. TnT hit a new record for tangents today but it was all very funny stuff.
