TnT Show 10-06-1999

Wednesday 10-6-99

Todd and Tyler read another installment of the Saunders County police report his morning. There were quite a few of the typical reports. Donnie was able to reenact one of the listed events, though. According to the police report, there were some mad sheep or something on the loose. When Donnie’s officer arrived at the scene, he found that there was a mad Mean Farmer on the loose instead. The poor thing was executed promptly. It’s about time someone did that to that horrible bit.

Friday at the Hy-Vee store on 96th and Q Street, someone going to be taking photos for the next “Got Milk” poster. From what I’ve heard, anyone can show up to take part. Todd and Tyler thought it would be funny to bring a cow to the photo shoot, cover it’s upper lip with some Vitamin D and have the cow’s photo taken for the ad campaign. They just needed to find someone to bring them a cow so the spent a good portion of this morning’s show asking listeners to provide them with one. By 8am, they’d confirmed the arrival of a cow. Tune in on Friday to see how that all pans out.

During Todd and Tyler’s quest for a cow, they got a call from a guy on his cell phone that said he might be able to hook the guys up with a cow. During the call, he was pulled over by a Papillion police officer. TnT prompted the caller to leave the cell phone on so they could here the ticket being issued. As the call went on, TnT heard that the guy was missing a front license place on his car and didn’t have proof of insurance because it had been taken away about a week ago by another police officer. TnT began making the muffled sounds of a guy in the trunk and Donnie came in to make pig noises. After the officer had gone back to his car, the caller picked up the phone again to explain to TnT what was going on. TnT asked the caller if he’d ask the officer if he wanted to talk to them. As time passed on, TnT joked about how long it took the officer to write the ticket. When the officer finished and approached the car, he explained the fines and such to the caller. Afterwards, the caller asked the police officer if he wanted to chat with TnT. The officer replied “No, that’s okay. You tell Todd and Tyler that’s as fast as I can write.” Yep, the officer was listening to the TnT show while writing up the ticket for the caller! It was hilarious! Luckily for the caller, the officer (who seemed quite cool after everyone found out he was a listener) didn’t seem to hold any of TnT’s comments against him.

From the Funny Bone, Vilmoshe came in today. He’ll be MCing at the Bone this weekend. That’s right, he’s not the feature act, he’s just the measly little MC. He hung out for a good portion of the show and interjected things as they came up. He’s a very funny guy (even though he’s only an MC) so stop on out to the http://www.funnyboneomaha.com” target=blank>Funny Bone or call 493-8036 for reservations.

TnT’s comedy friend Carl Banks checked in again this morning. The conversation was nearly identical to yesterday’s so instead of rewriting it all, I’ll just copy and paste yesterday’s conversation into today’s update: TnT's comedian friend Carl Banks called in this morning to talk to TnT. It's been quite a while sense Carl checked in with the guys. It was nice to hear from him. He talked with Todd and Tyler about some of the recent TV things he's been doing including an appearance as on tonight’s Drew Carey show. He joked around about working with Bret Butler (Grace Under Fire) and her drug problems. Carl also elaborated on Melissa Joan Heart, the little hottie who plays Sabrina the Teenaged Witch, and what it was like to work with her on that show. Carl mentioned that he'd be back in town some time in December at the Funny Bone. Stay tuned to hear more about that. And there it is.

Towards the end of the show, TnT got into a heated debate with Travis. Travis said that he wouldn’t allow his kids to have a video game in the house when they got older. Tyler agreed with Travis and said that young kids should be playing in the yard not sitting on the couch getting fat. Todd and Donnie thought that Travis would change his mind as time goes on due to several factors. His kids will end up badgering him into getting them a video game or the grandparents will buy the kids the games. The argument lasted quite a while and even listeners got in on the conversation. It was pretty funny. In the end, Lisa stormed out of the room, Travis said he feared if he got a machine that he’d end up playing it and everyone else shook hands and droned “Good game, good game, good game, good game.”

Well, that’s the update for today. Check back here tomorrow for the wacky, zany Thursday version. Thanks for watching. Goodnight. –the Alien Guy-
