Todd and Tyler started the show off discussing last night’s final episode of “Survivor”. They took some reaction calls from listeners and discussed Rich’s victory. They were also quite upset over the huge Husker Reach Channel 3rd did. The station actually had the nerve to say something along the lines of “With all the hoopla over Survivor, have you ever wondered if it has an effect on the Huskers?” That statement floored TnT as well as some of the listeners who checked in to discuss the atrocity. Todd and Tyler also had a great deal of fun talking about the armored car driver who shot himself in the bathroom at Westroads Mall. They wanted to talk to the guy and asked for his call all morning but never received it. Instead, they took calls from people claiming to know him and basically made fun of the guy’s idiotic act. The discussion also prompted TnT to ask for the “self inflicted gunshot call”. There were a few as the show went on but none of them were as comical as TnT’s banter about the Westroads guy.

Another large topic of the early morning that carried on throughout the show was that of the Boys Town name change. TnT discussed, seriously, the cause and effect of the name change and who would be allowed to decide. From there, they decided they’d start referring to Boys Town, Girls and Boys Town or whatever they decide to call it as Funky Town! At that point, they started playing the “Funky Town” song and continued on all morning.

TnT got follow-up calls from Shane and Fozzy, the socially retarded virgins that were the main topics of yesterday’s show. Neither one of the guys had anything important to add to the show this morning so TnT didn’t dwell on their phone calls for long.

Steve Tooie from the Funny Bone came in today. How the hell would you spell Tooie? Anyway, he joined in on the topics of the morning and seemed to have a good time. He’s opening for J. Medicine Hat at the Bone this weekend. You can call 493-8036 for reservations and/or information.

TnT spoke with Donnie Van Zant of 38 Special this morning. They discussed many things including the recent vandalism of his brother’s grave, their recent stage collaps drama and 38 Special’s current tour. As always, Donnie seemed happy to talk to TnT. The band will be playing at the Anchor Inn tonight so stop on out and see the show.

3 Day Meat Sale came in studio towards the end of the show and played a few tunes for TnT. The band also talked about playing the Y2KISS Farewell Tour Party at South Sokol Hall on the 27th of August. It should be a cool event for all of the KISS freaks.
