TnT Show 09-01-2000

Friday 9-1-00

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning discussing some items in the news. They also spent a little time talking about an article Danny read out of a woman’s magazine. The article gave women an idea of how to judge men based on stereotypes. By the end of the article, TnT were rather pleased to hear that “long hairs” were rated pretty well in the love department.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and delivered a commentary based on his political platform. He also talked more about the Todd and Tyler Husker National Championship guarantee. Larry will most likely check in again on either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

The 2nd Annual Todd and Tyler Burnout Contest got underway at about 8am this morning. The event started about an hour late because Slave Boy Chris was hung over. When things finally did get underway, the fun ensued. Chris and Bruce checked in several times from the 60th & Ames Tires Plus location, each time letting the sounds of grumbling vehicles fill the ears of the listeners with audio smoke. A few of the participants actually screeched their wheels but most seemed more intent on making billowing clouds of deadly tire smog. In the end, the winner was a Trans Am, the same one that won the event last year.

Travis came in today and told TnT about how he asked his wife to marry him. It sort of lead into a discussion over whether or not people actually still ask the father’s of their perspective wives for their daughters hand in marriage. TnT got a few calls on the subject and interjected their own thoughts on it as well. Travis also gave his first Box and Lock of the week. Falling under the Lock of the Week category, he chose Colorado to beat Colorado State. His choice for Box of the Week fell right along with what we’d expect to hear from Travis on the subject: tennis player Monica Sellis. I don’t care if I’ve spelled her name properly or not, she’s nasty.

J Medicine Hat stopped in today and hung out with TnT for a bit. He spent some time talking about some recent things that have happened to him on stage here in Omaha. Check J out at the Funny Bone this weekend by calling 493-8036.

The guys invited their resident computer geek, Dickey, to come in studio and talk about the Husker game’s webcast tomorrow. Dickey confirmed TnT’s suspicions that the webcast is going to look like crap. The guys took a few calls from listeners who agreed with TnT and Dickey.

Join Todd and Tyler at the Johnny tonight with Version 3 for a Spikes tailgate party. The guys will be there from 5-7pm. Monday there’s no show but Todd and Tyler will still be doing Monday Night Football. Remember, this year the guys have moved on to a bigger place, the Arena Sports Bar. They’ll be back on the air on Tuesday so check back here Tuesday afternoon.

That’s the update for Friday. We’ll see you back here on Tuesday. Thanks for watching. Good night. –the Alien Guy-
