Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by recapping yesterday’s story about Jeremy and the date he was supposed to have last night with a stripper. The original plan was for TnT to call Jeremy’s place right as the show started this morning to confirm that she did sleep with him (which they never doubted because, hey, she’s a stripper). Well, instead of calling Jeremy, they just talked to him in studio. That’s right, he was denied up by little miss nasty pie face yesterday when she called to cancel 15 minutes after the show ended. Later in the show, they called the stripper and you can read more about that later in this update. TnT also played 2 hate calls, one of which was an odd hate-love call, that JP had recently recorded from people who called in to bitch about the TnT show. They gave their reaction and moved on. With their upcoming trip to South Bend for the Husker/Notre Dame game, there was a lot of college football talk all morning long as well.

TnT sent Jeremy and Big Pussy to the 77th & L Street Runza to help sell sandwiches in the morning. The guys have mentioned many times that they believe fast food restaurants should serve non-breakfast food all the time, not just after 10:30am. A few years ago, they worked something out with a Wendy’s to open up early and sell hamburgers to their listeners. It worked out quite well so the guys did it again today with Runza. Throughout the show, Big Pussy and Jeremy checked in giving TnT updates on the progress of sales. Things sounded like they went quite well and hopefully the fast food industry will take note so we can buy a freak’n Whopper at 7am from now on.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and gave a commentary on the really fat 2-year-old kid that’s been making the TV talk show circuit lately. Before and after the commentary, Larry talked with TnT about their trip to South Bend to watch Notre Dame and the Huskers this weekend.

TnT read a Cosmo article listing the 5 types of men every woman should date before getting married. They ran the list past Danny and talked about their dating stories as well. Their listeners also phoned in with stories about the various types of people they’ve dated that fit into one of Cosmo’s categories. For the most part, listeners really seemed to latch on to the younger/older person dating stories (those with huge age gaps). Some of the more memorable calls of the day included a guy who lost his virginity in a tent to a pot-head 20-something woman and another woman nailed a 72-year-old Star Trek geek at a convention when she was in her 30’s.

Travis checked in from South Bend this morning. He had with him a Notre Dame player originally from Nebraska by the name of Joe (I didn’t catch his last name and don’t believe it was repeated). Joe told his story about being a walk-on for Notre Dame, which seemed to be a real “Rudy”-ish tale. Travis is going to air an interview with Joe on the 9 o’clock news on Fox tonight so tune in. Later in the phone call, Travis talked with TnT about how he pissed off the Notre Dame coach yesterday by mentioning the Nebraska Furniture Mart promotion involving the free TVs if the Huskers shut out Notre Dame. Travis will check in one final time tomorrow.

Alan Helgenberger from the Special Friends charity golf tournament stopped by the TnT show briefly this morning to promote the event. Todd and Tyler spent a little time getting some details and talking about the famous people who will be attending this weekend’s event. Alan mentioned that there are some free tickets at local area Albertson’s stores or you can call 354-2323 for tickets and information.

Towards the end of the show, Jeremy returned from Runza and TnT called the stripper who was supposed to come over to his house for a date last night. After getting the voice mail runaround for a minute, they finally got a hold of her. They confronted her about a report they received that she had used Jeremy to get to TnT so she could advertise a strip club website and that she ditched Jeremy last night and hung out at a bar instead. She denied the website report but said she was at the bar with her father celebrating her little sister’s 5th birthday. In the end, Jeremy and the stripper had remade their date for this evening. Although no details got worked out on the air, I’m sure Todd and Tyler will get a hold of one of them tomorrow for a full report of the evening. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s show.
