Todd and Tyler started off todays show by talking bout last nights kickball game. The event kicked off the start of this years Rock-A-Thon and the guys had plenty to say about the match-up. Todds Weather Geeks took on Tylers Shrimped Pooches in an all out battle of semi-celebrity kickball action. The final score was Pooches 9, Geeks 8. TnT spent some time talking about the fun they had and the pain they were in today. They then called several of the Z92 staff who participated to check and see if they were aching as bad as TnT were. Most who they spoke to admitted to being a little sore today but it was worth it because everyone had a great time and they helped raise some money for Camp CoHoLo.
The guys were discussing the recent police shooting incident and how the officer has new been put back on duty. In what seemed to be a rhetorical question, Todd asked the listeners to phone in if theyve ever been involved in a high speed chase and were not shot. Well, the listeners picked up on it and filled the phone lines with their tales of high-speed chases. Many who phoned in got caught in the end of their tales but there were a few stories from people who had gotten away while fleeing the police. The calls came in on this subject throughout the entire show and after a while, they seemed to get a bit more redneckish in nature but were still pretty funny to hear.
Dwight York from the Funny Bone came in this morning and hung out with TnT. He seemed to be a pretty funny guy, which isnt all that surprising because hes a comedian. Anyway, he joined in on the topics of the day and seemed to have a good time with Todd and Tyler. Feel free to check out his website at http://www.vilefile.com target=blank>www.vilefile.com. Hes got some great stuff there. Also, check him out at the Funny Bone this weekend by calling 493-8036.
The band Capture came in this morning and played a few songs for TnT. They spent some time discussing how their old drummer registered Kapture and because hes no longer in the band, they have switched their title to Capture with a C. They also mentioned that they wanted to completely rename the band so TnT gave them a few great suggestions. Girth and Aborted Fetal Tissue were among the favorites. You can catch the band playing at the Anchor in on Sunday from 4-8.
Join Todd and Tyler at the Funny Bone for the Rock Auction to benefit Camp CoHoLo this afternoon. TnT will be there right around 4pm and the auction gets underway at 6.
