Todd and Tyler started off this morning’s show discussing the Husker game that took place on Saturday. They discussed how the Huskers didn’t look very good and their subsequent drop in to the #2 spot in the polls. They also reiterated their anger with the University for not letting any of the current UNL players call the Todd and Tyler show. There was also some reaction calls to Friday’s Talladega trip contestants. Heath, the winner, checked in and said he was a bit out of it on Friday after leaving and that the slept most of Saturday. They also talked about Stink Bait and tossed around a few ideas for future bits they would like to use him in. The guys gave news chick Dani a hard time about “not feeling well” and blamed last night’s “final Sunset Speedway race” for her condition. Dani claimed to have eaten some bad food but the guys were convinced she was a bit hung over. As we’re all coming to find out, Dani’s a bit of a neck and enjoys the racing.

During Dani’s first newscast, she read a story about a 22-year-old guy named Ace who, after getting into an argument with his girlfriend, drove his truck through the front of a house in Papillion. The guys began discussing stupid things they’ve done after arguing with their women and opened up the phone lines for listeners to share their own tales of stupidity. A few callers checked in on the subject but the conversation quickly turned back to the 22-year-old Ace. The guys got a phone call from a woman who witnessed the accident. She detailed the event for TnT and was an excellent source of information. A few moments later, Ace’s sister called the TnT show to give her brother’s side of the story. According to all the information at hand, Ace was drunk when the accident occurred. His sister didn’t stick up for her brother’s actions but wanted to let everyone know that her brother is a good guy and is just going through a troubled spot. She told TnT about his current medical condition and said she would understand if TnT continued to talk and make fun of her brother’s stupid act. The guys were more than happy to and several sound effects were born.

As the show moved on, a man who was actually in the house Ace hit called TnT. He told the story from an insider’s point of view. According to him, a grandfather who was visiting was thrown out of his recliner when the truck hit the house. It freaked the old man out and sent him scrambling for a dog in order to make sure the dog didn’t escape through the hole. The house was knocked 3 feet off its foundation, the ductwork is screwed up and a water pipe was broken. He said that insurance will pay for the damage but, for now, everyone who was in the house is scattered across town because it’s unsafe to be in the home. It was a very interesting story and we all wish the best for the owners of the house, as well as the young man who caused all the commotion.

When Travis joined the show today, the guys focused on the football weekend. They talked about the Huskers, other college games as well as the pro match-ups. General Jim also joined in on the conversation as Tyler and Jim took a few shots at each other’s Super Bowl records. Todd also mentioned how his team has “quietly slipped to 4-0” a couple of times. Everyone did their best to convince him that it wouldn’t last. Travis’s Lock of the Week didn’t come in (surprise!) and now his record stands at 1-4. Trav will give us another Lock on Friday so be prepared to bet the bank against him.

The guys spent a little time towards the end of their show discussing the upcoming Freaker’s Ball. It’s going to take place on October 27th and will be held at the same place as the last few years, Ameristar’s Sports Bar (I believe). They recapped some of the costumes they’d worn in previous years and tossed out a few ideas they have for their costumes this year. Further details and information about this year’s Freaker’s Ball will be provided as the event gets nearer.

Tonight is another installment of Monday Night Football. Join Todd and Tyler at the Arena Sports Bar for the festivities. They’ll be giving away 2 seats in a recliner and doing another field goal kicking competition. Duke and Paintball Tittie girl will be there on a first date/get to know you type of deal so stop on out to witness the excitement.
