| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 10-03-2000 Tuesday 10-3-00 Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning by talking about last nights Monday Night Football game. They joked about how a simple reference to former NFL leading scorer, George Blanda, lead to people calling the bar asking if Mr. Blanda was actually there. They also talked about how one of their buddies, Porn Star, told them about a recent wedding he attended in which everyone was consumed by the Husker game on TV instead of the things going on at the reception. It later became a huge discussion. Another note of interest that popped up at the football game last night was that Dodge County Duke couldnt close with the Hispanic little hottie. After talking about him last night, the guys spent a little time searching for former NFL player and leading scorer, George Blanda. They searched for him on the Web and came up with a few leads. Upon calling the first one, they got a hold of the wife of George Blandas second cousin. She said the real George Blanda lives in California and, unfortunately, TnT didnt have a California number. At that point, the search was given up. The guys spent quite a bit of time talking about Mark Schnabel again today. Schnabel was in the news this morning trying to appeal something regarding his case. As soon as the conversation began, a parody song was in the works. Breads song, The Guitar Man, was twisted and morphed into a rather humorous tune called The Yutan Man. The guys began tossing around lyrical ideas and then opened up the phone lines for listener suggestions. Many calls poured in but at about 7:45, they shut down the calls because they were beginning to suck. As the show progressed, they tried to piece together the various lyrics suggested to them with the ones theyd come up with. Tomorrow, theres a very good possibility that well hear the finished, produced version of The Yutan Man so make sure to tune in. Brian Houston from Houston Lawns came in and did sports for Travis today. He did a fine job, as always. Now since the grass is no longer growing, he begged the powers that be to let it begin to snow. You see, once winter hits, Houston Lawns makes a trip to a nearby phone booth, rips off its stuffy exterior and becomes Houston Snow Removal! As mentioned earlier, the guys had a discussion last night at the MNF game about Husker Saturday weddings. They expressed their disgust with people who would rather watch a football game than pay attention to the wedding of a family member or a friend. A few people called in and yelled at TnT for their opinion and tried to spin watching the game instead of paying attention to the wedding or reception. TnT did a fine job of eating those people up as they explained their very logical points of view. Still, more people called in to tell tales about their wedding days and how those weddings seemed to revolve around Husker football match-ups. In some cases, TVs were brought into the reception hall, pocket TVs were carried by groomsmen, the entire male population of the events had disappeared into bars to watch the game and other people admitted to bringing in Walk-Man radios to catch the broadcast during weddings/receptions theyd attended. One of the most appalling accounts came from a caller who said they witnessed a minister tell the crowd at a wedding the final score of the Husker game on at the same time after he had pronounced the bride and groom man and wife. Towards the end of the conversation, there was even a caller who said Husker Football had invaded the funeral of his own mother as someone was listening to the game on the radio during the burial service. Im sure this wont be the last time TnT discuss such things so if you have a story, save it until it comes up again. Well, thats about all Ive got for the update this afternoon. Remember that Dr. Ed will join Todd and Tyler tomorrow so make sure to tune in. Have your medical questions ready for him. Thanks for watching. Good night. Corby Bender-
