Todd and Tyler started off their show today setting some things up for tomorrow’s Columbus Day celebration. The guys asked for and got 3 volunteers who will set sale on the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria across Lake Zorinsky. Actually, they’re going to paddle themselves across the lake while in small inner tubes. Big Pussy will be calling the play by play. Make sure you’re listening at about 7am tomorrow so you don’t miss it.

Dani read a news story this morning about a Catholic priest in Portland who was found guilty of 20 years worth of child molestation. The people who won the case each got about $2 million. During the discussion, Donnie became Don and said he’d let a priest nail him for $100. As the conversation continued, Don’s price seemed to go up and finally leveled off at $5000. He seemed to like the idea a little too much. TnT opened up the phone lines to any priest who wanted to pay for Donnie’s bung but no calls came in. Also relating to religion, towards the end of the show the guys spent some time talking about and taking calls about the twisted Mormons. There’s really not much to detail relating to the subject but I thought I’d make note of the topic anyway.

There was a great deal of discussion about proposition 416, the anti-gay law that churches are trying to push on everyone. The guys discussed their point of view and took calls all morning long on the topic.

TnT spent some time talking about the animal kingdom today. They joked about can-eating goats, the taste of sheep/lamb/goats and took a few calls on moose and mountain lion spottings.

TnT spoke with Marge of the Untamed Shrews today. She was making the dreaded drive across Iowa when she called. The Shrews will be appearing at the Funny Bone this week and will join TnT in studio on Friday morning. Make sure to tune in and call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations.

Larry the Cable guy checked in and delivered a commentary on how some people want to clone Jesus. He introduced us to the very funny concept of Franken-Jesus.

The guys got into a discussion about meeting the parents of your significant other today. Donnie, Todd and Tyler all shared their own stories on the topic. When Dani was asked about meeting the family of her boyfriend, she seemed a little pissed and then informed TnT that she has never met her boyfriend’s family. She also said she plans on being allowed to meet them this year some time. The guys were surprised considering she’s been dating the guy for more than 2 years and his family lives right here in town. A lengthy discussion followed including some attempted trained counseling. No phone calls were taken regarding the topic but it might get brought up again tomorrow. There’s bound to be more interesting stories like Dani’s.

JRZ System came in studio today and played a few tunes for TnT. They also spent some time talking about how they became the band for former RATT guy Steven Piercy. Towards the end of the show, the guys started talking about song lyrics and how impossible it is to decipher some of them. A caller said that a bunch of lyric web sites had been shut down because of all the trouble with Napster but a few other callers disputed that. TnT talked about a few songs they have trouble understanding the words to and at one point, Donnie did his Creed impersonation and nailed it.
