Monday 10-16-00

Todd and Tyler started off their show talking about their weekends. They watched a little football and spent some time talking about the Huskers and how the Vikings have quietly slipped to 6-0. On a topic relating to last week’s shows, Dani met her boyfriend’s parents for the first time over the weekend. She filled TnT in on the meeting in which they were quite responsible for. Donnie told the guys about how he wasn’t served a beer at a local steakhouse because his driver’s license was expired. That lead into a discussion and calls on the subject. Donnie also had a run-in with an African American lady who referred to him as “the White Devil” over the weekend. That made for some interesting fodder. The guys talked about the Omaha police officer that was on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” last night. Also early in the show, TnT played a taped phone call to Murphy that came in over the weekend. The guy on tape claimed TnT had called him on Friday night, asked him a bunch of sex questions with the premise that he could win a trip to Hawaii and then asked his permission to air the conversation on Monday. He had second thoughts on having whatever he said to Todd and Tyler aired so he called back to “take back” his consent. TnT spent some time laughing at the guy who’s friends had obviously pulled one over on him.

Over the weekend, Todd’s girlfriend got a few calls from people who wanted to warn her about dating him. The calls came anonymously from people who only know Todd from what they’ve heard in rumors or on the air. Tyler said that Becky, too, had gotten some weird calls after they had started dating. The guys also called Caller 9 to see if she had any stories to share. She said the only weird, warning-like call she got was from Donnie’s ex-wife. The guy spent some time talking about such weird calls but moved on when Travis arrived.

When Travis came in, he had a pretty good travel horror story to share with TnT about his trip to Texas over the weekend. His story was very long and sorted so I’m sure I don’t have every detail but the essence of his story was that he’d been screwed over going to and coming home from Texas. He’d been bumped even after his seat was guaranteed, he sat on the runway for 2 hours before having to get off the plain again, some fat guy from Grand Island named Wayne had a mental breakdown on the plain, he was delayed again and didn’t get into town until 1am this morning and to top it off, he still doesn’t have his luggage. I know I’m not doing Travis’s story justice here. Perhaps his twisted tale of air travel horror will be replayed on a “Best Of” show soon.

TnT’s Talladega trip winner, Heath, called in from Alabama this morning to talk about the trip. He had a great time and talked about all the rednecks he saw a the Alabama race track (surprise!). Heath told TnT he was having some flight trouble of his own. Later, he called back in to say that his flight had been cancelled altogether and he was going to be bussed to Atlanta and then flown through a few different airports in order to get home today.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning. He gave TnT a commentary about turning his trailer into a haunted house. A few of Larry’s scary exhibits were sexual in nature like the floating rubber penis and Rosie O’Donnell’s butt tunnel of doom. Larry will check in again later this week so stay tuned.

Todd and Tyler will be at the Arena Sports Bar tonight for another installment of Monday Night Football. Stop on out for the party and root against Dani and her imaginary friend who plays for Jacksonville. It should be a good time and TnT hope to see you there.
