| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 10-23-2000 Monday 10-23-00 Todd and Tyler started off their show talking about a variety of topics. They touched on some football as well as the end of the Kingdom of Quevera. In fact, the guys took turns being the 64-year-old King and the 20-year-old stamp licking, envelope-stuffing Queen all morning long. After discussing the concept of pumpkin catapults last Friday, Donnie stepped to the mike and filled TnT in on his failed pumpkin catapult tale from the weekend. In an effort to create such a contraption, Donnie spent about 10 hours and $100 on the project only to propel a 2-pound pumpkin 30 feet. From the sounds of it, the great War on Iowa via pumpkin catapults over the Missouri river will most likely not take place after all. Also relating to the weekend, Todd hurt his back maxing out while weightlifting. The poor guy was wobbly all day but didnt receive any sympathy. Both Tyler and Donnie gave Todd a hard time for his self-inflicted injury throughout the show. Jeremy had a blind date on Friday night with a listener TnT set him up with. Jeremy and the lady went on the Missouri with TnT and the big party boat they promoted all last week. According to accounts by people in attendance, Jeremy seemed extra nervous and ignored his blind date a little too much. It was, according to TnT, not a love match. The woman who went on the date called in later and said that she did have a good time and Jeremy did stand a chance with her because she thought he was good looking. Unfortunately for Jeremy, the poor guy just cant close. The talk of Jeremy and his blind date lead into the main topic of this mornings show. TnT started off by discussing blind dates in general and Tyler mentioned an enjoyable blind date he went on a few years ago. He said he had fun, the lady was nice but it just wasnt a love match. Thinks like that happen all the time and they figured thats what happened with Jeremy over the weekend. At that point, Donnie came in to share two stories from his college years of blind dates gone bad. Donnies stories were interesting and seemed to set the tone for the next few hours. Lots of calls began to come in on the blind date topic. For the most part, everyone who checked in followed the show mojo and contributed a tale that was relevant to the topic. Some of the stories were even pretty funny. The subject was temporarily put on the back burner once Trav arrived, as there was sports to talk about. When Travis came in, the guys spent about an hour discussing some things in the world of sports. The Husker blowout, the World Series, Gary Andersons new record (Wide Left), Traviss Lock of the week coming in (mostly because he, sadly, created his own line) and e-mails from pissed off Viking fans were all things the guys covered. After their sports discussion, TnT got back onto the topic of blind dates. At this point, the conversation seemed to twist a little bit. TnT had mentioned that a lot of women in their mid-20s have children and are unmarried. That might not be exactly the type of girl Slave Boy Jeremy is looking for. The guys, remembering their days in college and back East, stated that when they were younger, there werent nearly the number of unmarried/divorced mid-20s women with children as there are today. After some discussion, they thought that the phenomenon might have a geographical relationship to the Midwest. At that point, TnT started getting calls from a bunch of mid-20s women who have never been married and have no children. I think the women who were calling in wanted to sound off and say Hey, dont shun me in the dating world. Im doable and Ive got no baggage! Those calls continued throughout the remainder of the show. One of those ladies is even going to come up in studio tomorrow around 8am to meet Jeremy and determine if shed like to go out on a date with him. Listen for Jennifers visit tomorrow. During many of the calls TnT received from eligible women in the last half of the show, the guys tried to delve into the psyche of the women a little bit. They wanted to find out what these unmarried women with no children in their mid-20s wanted out of a guy. They also discussed the line women draw when it comes to a man being too nice. Most of the women seemed to agree that if a man is too nice and clingy, they wont want to stick with him. Unfortunately for all of you single guys in your 20s, Todd and Tyler werent really able to draw any definite answers as to where the line is out of their female callers today even though they tried their asses off. The closest thing we listeners heard to a real answer on how to get women to like you was just be yourself. If we havent all heard that a million times. If we would be ourselves, you women would never date any of us. Who wants to date a compulsive masturbator who drinks too much and would rather do watch a Scarface marathon on TBS and eat burned pizza rolls than take a walk in the park with your sentimental ass? Well, enough about me. The blind date discussion took up a majority of the show but was very compelling. It was great to hear that there are women in their 20s who dont have a bunch of kids clinging to their legs and whos only baggage has Sampsonite written on it. Perhaps theres hope for Jeremy and other men like him after all. Of course, not every listener Jeremys age has Todd and Tyler trying to score them some pie but then again, maybe you guys are better off. Think about it. Jeremys only recent score was the 40+ scanky, married Postal Rose on vacation from Chicago in Phoenix and TnT had nothing to do with that one. With TnTs help, however, Jeremys been blown off by a stripper whos licked in Jeremys living room, ditched by an out-of-state accountant/stripper and screwed up a shot with a boat-confined witch (seriously). Again, make sure to tune in tomorrow to hear what TnT have to say about listener Jennifer when she comes in to meet Jeremy. Join Todd and Tyler at the Arena Sports Bar tonight for another installment of Monday Night Football. It is going to be a great party, as always, so stop on out for the game. Make sure you check back here tomorrow for another written update of the Todd and Tyler show. This little update is a pretty good way of keeping caught up with the show for all you listeners who dont have 4 ½ hours a day to spend with your ears glued to your headphones. And really, if you dont have 4 ½ hours a day to spend listening to TnT, you need to quit your jobs, get on welfare and spend your time a little more wisely. Do your part to keep Todd and Tyler on the air in Omaha. Seriously, I dont think all of you listeners realize just how lucky we are to have these guys in our town. Im sure some of you have heard the abortions of radio shows aired in Omaha when TnT are on vacation. If you have, youll realize exactly why its your duty to tune in to Todd and Tyler from 5:30 to 10 every day. Thanks for watching. Good night. Corby-
