| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 11-14-2000 Tuesday 11-14-00 Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning talking about an article in the paper. A woman named Tammy was profiled in the article which centered around her tickets to the Big 12 Championship game and how she wont be using them now that the Huskers wont be going. The paper took the sympathy approach to the womans dilemma. Todd and Tyler, on the other hand, werent so sympathetic. The took a few calls on the subject including a call from a listener who said he had run into the same problem. He turned around and sold the 12 tickets he bought for the game on eBay for an $800 profit. TnT spent a great deal of time this morning discussing Danis caffeine intake. For the last few weeks, theyve been trying to convince her that in order for her to be awake in the morning, she has to drink coffee. Dani tried drinking some a while ago but claimed not to have liked it. Instead, shes been drinking tea. This morning she claimed that a friend of hers told her that there is as much caffeine, if not more, in tea as coffee. TnT both disputed her claims and set out to the Internet to provide her with more accurate information. Todd found a web site with some statistical information about caffeine in various drinks and went down the list for Dani. According to the website, Danis information was incorrect. In fact, her tea has less than ½ the caffeine as coffee. Danis repeated rebuttal to the facts throughout the argument was, But Im using two tea bags. The guys spent some time this morning discussing strange names for babies again. Tyler mentioned that no matter what name Todd would suggest, Becky wouldnt choose it. Her reason was because she and Tyler would constantly be reminded by Todd that he came up with the babys name. TnT called Becky during the conversation and she confirmed her reasoning saying that they would never hear the end of it. Travis and Donnie got into a heated argument about the Huskers this morning. They tossed barbs back and forth about Newcomb, Crouch, Lord and even went back to the days of Tommy Frazier. Donnie became very angry while ranting and complaining about the football team. Travis, too, was quite aggressive in his argument at times. Todd and Tyler let the two ramble for a bit but then put an end to the discussion. TnT spent some time discussing various forms of birth control again today. Todds upcoming vasectomy was also brought up. Travis continues to question Todds decision saying it is unnecessary. Todd tried to spin his decision by saying that he didnt want to make his girlfriend ingest chemicals. No one seemed to buy his argument, however. Other methods of birth control were also discussed including the rhythm method, the pill and the male version of the pill. Lots of calls came in on the subject as well. Comedians Darrel Joyce and Jay Scott Holman came in this morning. They arent at the Funny Bone this week; theyre just passing through town and thought theyd stop in and hang out with TnT for a bit. Darrel Joyce freaked out a little bit when General Jim ate his Krispy Kream doughnut. The guys then spent some time talking about Darrels addiction to the doughnuts. The comedians also joined in on the other topics of the day. TnT spoke with Dana Altman, coach of the Creighton Bluejays Basketball team. They talked about how Michigan State beat the Globetrotters and then moved on to talk about Creightons upcoming season. The coach said it should be a good season and spent a little time talking about a few of the players they lost (including one guy who went home because he was home sick). Dr. Ed will be in studio tomorrow so have your medically related e-mails and phone calls ready to go. Tune in from 5:46 to 10am for another show and then check back here later in the day for the update. Thanks for watching. Good night. Corby-
