Todd and Tyler started off this morning’s show by talking about their weekends. Todd’s trip to Minneapolis seemed to be of most interest. He talked briefly about the Mall of America and then discussed the Viking game he saw. He wanted to know why Gary “Wide Left” Anderson was kicking off and finally got the answer later in the show when Duke (I believe) said the normal kickoff guy pulled something. The weather on his way home caused him some trouble, which seems to be the case for him every time he drives North.

A countdown to Todd’s vasectomy taking place Wednesday was also mentioned very early in the show and seemed to set the tone for the remainder of the day. Lots of vasectomy calls came in all morning long from listeners who either wanted to warn Todd of the upcoming pain or tell him that everything would be fine. In most cases, the callers all seemed to want to brag about how soon they knocked it out after having the procedure done. The guys also went through a pamphlet on the procedure on the air and discussed some of the things inside. They also discussed how soon Todd can have sex afterwards, reversal procedure possibilities, whether or not Todd should bank some sperm for future babies and many more sack-related variations on the vasectomy topic.

Later in the show, TnT called the doctor’s office and spoke to a couple of ladies about the pain Todd would be in. They wanted to find out what sort of drugs he’d be given to numb numb numb numb the pain. A Valium will be distributed beforehand and Todd will be sent home with a prescription for Loriset (or something) for the pain afterwards. Tyler asked if he, too, could have a Valium while watching Todd’s procedure but the nurses they spoke to didn’t think that would be possible. Tyler also found out that he’ll be standing quite a bit closer to the procedure as it’s getting done than he originally thought. The nurse they spoke to said he would probably be within arm’s reach of the action. That information only amplified Tyler’s request for Valium.

There were some disturbing visuals that came out of the Vasectomy talk this morning. Todd with his ankles to his ears, his exposed shaved sack and his brown-eye pointing at Tyler who was holding one of Todd’s inner sack cords is the most disturbing that comes to mind. If it wasn’t bad enough to picture the love struggle of Donnie and Big Pussy, now we’ve all got this whole new horrible visual to contend with daily.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and gave TnT a commentary on how he needs to get into shape. He also talked with them about the CD he sent them from the Blue Collar tour with Bill Engvall and Jeff Foxworthy. Listen for more Larry as the week goes on.

Senator Elect Ben Nelson phoned Todd and Tyler this morning to thank them for their support during his very close campaign. TnT spent some time talking with Ben about the recount going on in Florida. Ben has some experience with such things because of a recount he was involved in about 10 years ago right here in Nebraska. They also talked about Ben’s new gig in Washington DC and touched on such things as the hiring salary cap for his office employees, what part of DC Ben will be living in and were the good water fowl hunting spots are. It was cool of Ben to check back with TnT. He said he’d be calling them again in the future too.

Todd and Tyler spoke with their radio mom Jean today. She hasn’t phoned the show in quite some time but thought she’d check in with TnT for a little catch-up. She talked with the guys about a lot of things that have been happening on the show over the past few months and then filled them in on what she and her son Dick have been doing. She also told Todd about a cousin of hers that died from a vasectomy years ago. She warned Todd to “mind the doctors” and explained the reason for her cousin’s death was because he didn’t. As you can imagine, even after the call from Jean, the tales of vasectomies gone wrong came pouring into the show. Todd and Tyler said they would try to get a hold of mom again before Christmas so stay tuned for that. It was great to hear from mom again.

Jeremy came in studio this morning and spent some time telling TnT about a deer hunting trip he went on over the weekend. They talked about where he went and discussed the drinking policy of hunters. Jeremy said he didn’t drink while hunting because the people he went with “were pretty serious hunters”. Callers checked in to explain that if you’re hunting, you’ve got to drink. That notion was also expressed by Donnie, who said he’s never been hunting sober and Tyler’s remarks about his old drunken buddies back in Pennsylvania who used to go out to a cabin, get all hammered up and then set off to execute wildlife.

Todd and Tyler will be at the Arena Sports Bar tonight for another installment of Monday Night Football. Stop on out for the party.
