Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning discussing last night’s Presidential speeches. Tyler said he watched Gores but chose to flip over to MTV’s “Jackass” instead of watching Bush. Dani did her newscast and the guys spent a little time talking about some of the news stories as well.

Very early in the show, TnT got a surprise visit from Governor Mike Johanns. He officially proclaimed today Todd and Tyler Day throughout the entire state of Nebraska and presented TnT with a certificate. TnT seemed speechless several times during the Governor’s visit and felt genuinely honored. The guys then spent some time talking with the Governor about what he’s been doing and has planned in the near future. The guys thanked the Governor for his visit and after the governor left, they got a hold of Todd’s parents to tell them of their achievement. Todd’s mom didn’t believe him at first but after he read the proclamation to her, she congratulated him. They then called Tyler’s dad, Ed. Ed was very proud of their award and promptly dropped the S-Bomb. Through the entire show, the guys took calls from listeners who wanted to congratulate TnT on having a day named after them. Rock Queen JP phoned TnT and said that her mom encouraged all women to go braless today to show their support for Todd and Tyler on their very own day. Later in the show, Dani wrote up an official press release and sent it out all over town. TnT speculated whether or not they would be mentioned on local TV or in the newspaper but figured they wouldn’t be.

Todd and Tyler had two Carl Jarl Dumbasses of the day this morning. The first was a guy named Randy who accidentally locked the keys in his running truck. The second, later in the show, was a girl named Amanda who had locked herself out of her car. Although TnT never heard back from Amanda, they did get conformation that the fine folks at Carl Jarl rescued at least one of the Todd and Tyler Carl Jarl Dumbasses of the Day.
