The Todd and Tyler show started off this morning with the earliest Carl Jarl Dumbass of the Day call yet. A man called in to tell TnT that he’d locked himself out of his running car while going into a Wal-Mart for some milk. After Donnie placed a call to a very rude answering service, TnT decided to give the number a try and see if they couldn’t get the situation resolved. The person at the answering service they got a hold of seemed much nicer and handled the situation promptly by dispatching a Carl Jarl employee out right away.

Early in the show, TnT spent some more time discussing yesterday’s Todd and Tyler Day as announced by Governor Johanns. They seemed a little disappointed that they didn’t get any congratulatory calls from their friends in their personal lives. Deshawn, former Hooters hottie, current Iowa lawyer, did send them some flowers however and called in today to remind TnT that she cared.

During Dani’s newscast, she read a story about some women that invented nipple inserts for bras that would make women look like their turkeys were always done. The discussion lead into some talk about breast implants. During the discussion, TnT were hit with one of their oddest calls in months. A man checked in and told them that his father had bought his girlfriend breast implants. He then went on to elaborate further and say that his father was the first to touch his girlfriend’s new boobs. As the story progressed, the caller offered up even more details of his twisted life. His girlfriend sleeps with all of his friends, which doesn’t seem to bother him and she’s brought home a few sexually transmitted diseases, which has caused the caller to shave himself to avoid further contamination. He also stated that his girlfriend is going to be dancing at Shakers for the first time tonight and he and his father are going to go see her perform. TnT did their best to get into the mind of the caller but just couldn’t figure out his logic. After hearing the entire story, they began to speculate that the caller’s father was nailing his girlfriend. It was just an incredibly weird call that sort of came out of nowhere. TnT reset the call later in the show but really didn’t discuss it in depth any further. We may get a follow-up call next week to hear how the guy’s girlfriend’s first attempt at stripping went so stay tuned.

Blue House and the Rent To Own Horns came in this morning and performed the first in a series of Christmas tunes by local bands. They did an awesome rendition of their original tune, “Merry Christmas Woman” and then followed it up with a very cool “Santa Cause Is Coming To Town”. Joe also brought in a few presents for the TnT show staff which included some Nascar cars for Dani, a scratch-and-sniff food book for Travis, a little wrestling ring for Donnie and some Panasonic nose hair trimmers for TnT (which they used to simulate the sounds of a vibrator several times during the show). Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and delivered a commentary about women who don’t shave and trim their body parts.

Maryellen Hooper from the Funny Bone came in this morning and spent a few hours with TnT. During her visit, TnT and Maryellen got off on a tangent about vegetarianism. Tyler seemed to back Maryellen saying that there was nothing wrong with being a vegetarian or only eating fish. Todd and Travis, on the other hand, seemed to take offence and gave Maryellen and Tyler a hard time. The heated discussion was shut down after about 10 minutes and the show moved on.

Maryellen is a close personal friend of the actress Brooke Shields. For the last few years, Todd and Tyler have been trying to get Maryellen to get Brooke Shields on the phone with them. This morning, Maryellen told the guys that she had Brooke’s cell phone number and offered it up for the guys to call. TnT were quite excited that their long sought after interview was finally going to happen. Due to the recent technical difficulties with the studio’s phone system, the guys first had to place a call to Brooke using a cell phone. Todd took the liberty of dialing and upon Brooke’s answer Todd seemed a little floored. Although we could only hear Todd’s end of the conversation, it was clear that Brooke didn’t sound as Todd expected and he didn’t believe it was her. He handed over the phone to Maryellen who gave the studio phone number so Brooke could call back. Maryellen referenced Brooke as being sick and that’s why Todd probably didn’t recognize the voice. Well, a few minutes later, the phone rang and TnT picked it up to talk with Brooke Shields. The voice on the other line was quite gruff and rather man-like. Again, TnT were confused. After a minute or two, they realized that they had been scammed. The voice on the other end of the line was not that of a sick Brooke Shields but that of last week’s Funny Bone comedian, Adam Ferrara. He and Maryellen had set up the entire thing to fool Todd and Tyler. TnT were, of course, disappointed that they weren’t going to be able to talk to Brooke Shields. They did spend a couple of minutes talking with Adam about his recent visit to Omaha and then moved on.

After the fiasco now known as “The Great Brooke Shields Scandal”, TnT got back into talking with Maryellen about her friendship with Brook and some other things going on in Maryellen’s life. They discussed her engagement and even took a call from a woman here in Omaha who is going to be planning Maryellen’s honeymoon to Ireland. Late in the show, TnT got another call from a Carl Jarl Dumbass of the Day named Tolanda. The guys placed the call to Carl Jarl and Tolanda was helped out as well. Two Dumbasses in one day!
