| Straight Pimpin ![]() | TnT Show 02-22-2001 Thursday 2-22-01 Todd and Tyler started off this morning’s show with a little reaction from last night’s Z-92 night at the Funny Bone. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed the show and, from the sounds of it, everyone was a bit pickled this morning. In fact, it sounded as if Brian’s first newscast was delivered through the hazy eyes of a lush. TnT did mention that there were a few booger-eating morons at last night’s show that didn’t understand the concept of a comedy club. The people talked through the entire show. TnT stressed that the people who attend a comedy show don’t want to listen to the table next to them rambling on about their lives when they’re trying to watch the comic. Also early in the show, TnT got more hate e-mails relating to Earnhardt. The guys read the e-mails and discussed them for a while but finally put and end to the 4-day old topic at around 7:20. They seemed amazed of how people just can’t get over being pissed at them about a light hearted comment or two made by callers. TnT phoned yesterday’s Vegas trip winner to test his coolness. His name was Al Brenner and he said that he will probably take his wife with him. When TnT asked Al when the last time he was in Vegas, Al responded, “About a week ago.” As they chatted, it became obvious that Al definitely passed the coolness test. After the call, TnT read a piece of the script for today’s Vegas Trip movie. Due to some technical difficulties (dirty head), no audio was available. But I’ve seen today’s movie and you can take my word for it. Todd and Tyler’s performance in the script reading was superior to what actually appeared in the film. Do I hear Oscar nomination? TnT were joined in studio by Joe from Blue House and a listener named Leslie. Joe stopped by and dropped off some food for everyone because he heard how hung over they were feeling after a night at the Funny Bone. Listener Leslie stopped in for a visit because she’s leaving Omaha to go to Greensboro, where her husband has landed a new job. Leslie has been one of TnT’s best female callers in recent months so they wanted to meet her and give her a nice farewell before she bailed town. Leslie said she’ll be listening on the Internet so she may still call the show in the future. Jim Minge from the Reader came in studio this morning and hung out with TnT for a bit. The reason for his visit was to award TnT the honor of being named “Best Morning Show”. Todd and Tyler spent some time going over and discussing many of the other categories in the Reader as well. If you’d like to see the list, visit http://www.thereader.com” target=blank>www.thereader.com. Todd and Tyler spoke with Mark Stinus from “Entertainment Tonight”. They spent some time discussing various Hollywood hotties and helicopter cleavage shots before moving on to talking about other “Entertainment Tonight” related subjects. Mark was a pretty funny guy and seemed to enjoy his time on the phone with Todd and Tyler. Justin Leon from the Funny Bone came in and hung out with TnT this morning. He joined in on the topics of the day and seemed to enjoy his time on the show. He was quite funny as well, but then again, he’s a freaking comedian and that’s kind of what they’re supposed to be. Due to Walt Willy’s visit to the Funny Bone Friday and Saturday, Justin’s last performance of the week will be tonight. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations to catch him. Then, if you’re a sopping wet 40-something soap opera fan who has the desire to toss your pie on a dreamy soap guy like Walt Willy, phone the Funny Bone and make reservations to see his comedy act over the weekend. Tonight the Massacre in Mondamin takes places as the Todd and Tyler Traveling Dodge Ball All Stars take on the old, decrepit team slapped together by West Harrison High School in a pitiful attempt to stop the massive power of dodge ball destruction headed their way this evening. By the way, if anyone at West Harrison is reading this, feel free to e-mail a few before and after photos of the cheerleaders in uniform (or whatever) in which tonight’s dodge ball game will benefit. Tune in to tomorrows show for reaction to the dodge ball game. That’s all for the Thursday edition of the update. Tune in tomorrow as TnT will wrap up the week. Walt Willy is scheduled to join the show so chances are pretty good I’ll just paste the paragraph describing his last visit to TnT into tomorrow’s update. Thanks for watching. Good night. –Corby-
