| A 39 and a half foot pole! ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 03-02-2001 Friday 3-2-01 Todd and Tyler started off the show on a little bit of a crabby side this morning. They were having some technical difficulties with the computers, which wasnt allowing them to get to their e-mail. Todd seemed to be more upset about it than Tyler. They also seemed to have some concerns about two of their phoning-in guests and how entertaining the conversations were going to be but as soon as the show got off the ground, both of them seemed to cheer up a bit. The guys got into a discussion about a new commercial they saw last night for a pill thats supposed to help stop PMDD. PMDD, also known as PMS cubed, is something TnT had never heard of before. They speculated that the new disease might have been something created by the drug companies to sell more products. That idea was carried even further when a listener phoned in and said the active ingredient in the drug is the same thing as Prozac. The guys talked about the woman pictured in the commercial and how evil she was being portrayed. They also felt really bad for the poor guy, the womans husband in the commercial, who was getting the verbal bashing of a lifetime from his naggy woman. The discussion about PMS, PMDD and bitchy women in general lead TnT onto the topic of former news chicks for a while. It was an interesting tangent that lead into a pretty funny discussion over why TnT like male news chicks over female news chicks. Gene from the Brass Grille came in and cooked up some steaks for todays Big Beefy Friday celebration. Several Big Beefy Friday sponsors dropped off some meat to tempt Travis with. Todd brought in his indoor grill for Gene to use, which filled the studio with the wonderful smells of burning animal carcass. The sizzling noise alone was enough to put most people over the edge but Travis held his ground and didnt devour the food, although he stared at it as if it were a blonde, double jointed supermodel who owns her own brewery. A listener named Jim was todays Todd and Tyler Carl Jarl Dumbass of the day. The guy accidentally left his keys in the trunk of his car and closed them in. The guys phoned Carl Jarl and had them go help the listener out. TnT spent a little time making fun of the dumbass for the dumbass move and they also gave him a hard time about the type of car he drove. TnT had a conversation with Matt Lesher today. Hes playing the part of Ted Kennedy in Women of Camelot which airs on Sunday and Monday night. The guys talked about his roll, the Kennedy family in general and discussed his past acting gigs, which included an NYPD Blue episode as well as a roll in Gettysburg. Matt was pretty cool and seemed to enjoy his time on the show with TnT. Todd and Tyler phoned yesterdays Vegas trip winner, Mike Versh. Hes a Vegas veteran and his mother and brother live there so hes familiar with the city. Mikes going to take his wife with him on the trip. He seemed to pass the coolness check without any problem. After their discussion, TnT played a clip from todays Vegas movie and spent a little time talking about the movie. TnT spoke with Lancer Coach Mike Hastings today. The guys started off their discussion by talking about the coachs wife nearly getting on Survivor. Then, they talked about the physics behind snowshoes. Eventually they got into some hockey talk. TnT are going to be at the Lancer pre-game party at 5pm tonight in the little room with all the beer so stop by and see the guys. Steve Hanson from the 1977 movie Slap Shot spoke with TnT today. The Hanson Brothers have been touring the country for a long time promoting hockey and doing various skits on the ice. The guys didnt really know what they were going to talk to him about but they pulled off a very fine interview anyway. They discussed the movie for a little bit and then went into Steves professional hockey career (yea, he actually played professionally). They talked about the state of hockey today as well. Coach Hastings joined in on the discussion for a while, too. As mentioned, the interview went off without a hitch and I think Todd and Tyler surprised themselves at how well they were able to make something entertaining out of what potentially could have been a boring discussion about a 25-year-old movie (their original concern about the interview when the show began and they were crabby). Steve Hansons light-hearted approach also helped to make things go smoothly. J Medicine Hat came in studio and hung out with TnT for a while. He joined in on the topics of the day and shared many stories with Todd and Tyler about recent things that happened in his act (including a 14-year-old hottie breast flashing incident). He also told a few stories from his days as a drug abuser. J was quite good spirited about all of the Native American jokes that seemed to pour out of the show this morning. They were sparked by a very clever greeting from Dodge County Duke, who always makes it a point to insult J in some way when hes in studio. You can catch Medicine Hat at the Funny Bone this weekend. Call 493-8036 for reservations. Investigative reporter Carol Kloss phoned TnT today and offered them up some tickets to tonights Press Club Ball. TnT had absolutely no interest in attending the event but were happy to talk with Carol about the dancing routine shell be performing there this evening. Remember that Todd and Tyler will be in the little room full of beer at the Lancers pre-game party tonight at 5pm. They will also be at the Arena Sports Bar on Sunday at 1pm kicking off the big Nascar race. Travis will show up a few hours later and close down the festivities. Thats it for the update today. Check back here on Monday for another one. Thanks for watching. Good night. Corby-
