Tuesday 3-6-01

The guys started off the show this morning discussing last night’s Dodge Ball game in Ft. Calhoune. TnT whooped them 5-1. They took a few calls throughout the show about the game and found out they raised another $750. TnT also discussed the Vice President’s heart attack and the kid in California who shot up his school. Also a big issue early in the show was the proper spelling of the word “extraneous”.

TnT spoke to Corey Hiller, yesterday’s Vegas Trip winner. He’s going to take his wife and hasn’t been to Vegas for about 4 years. His last trip there was for his honeymoon. After talking with Corey, the guys played a clip from today’s Vegas movie.

The discussion of the school shooting in California lead TnT into a discussion about bullies and being picked on in high school. The guys shared many of their own stories about when they were growing up and we found out Todd was an even bigger geek than we all expected. He not only used to carry his saxophone to school, but he also had a briefcase he used to tout with him in elementary school. The guys took a ton of phone calls from listeners who shared their stories about being picked on in high school. Many of the callers had nicknames given to them such as Tar Baby, Fartigan, Tinkerpuss, and Ape Face. All throughout the discussion, TnT kept going back to their statement about how people can grow up getting picked on and not shoot people.

A guy named Drew was the Todd and Tyler Carl Jarl Dumbass of the day. TnT phoned the fine folks at Carl Jarl and sent them out to assist the dumbass.

Well, that’s it for the update today. It’s a bit short but a majority of the talk in today’s show centered around the high school bully/picked on topic. The huge number of calls on the subject limited the tangents TnT went into but there were so many good stories, TnT didn’t seem to mind. Check back tomorrow for the Wednesday update.
