Todd and Tyler began their show this morning talking about the authors of “The Rules” book. The two women were on TV last night promoting their new rules book about marriage and how their book can help you keep a marriage together. Ironically enough, one of the two ladies is in the process of getting a divorce. TnT both found that fact to be pleasantly amusing. They also discussed various items in Brian’s newscast.

Once again, TnT touched on local TV’s coverage of the weather. They rightfully complained about the overuse of graphics, the annoying interruptions, screen shrinking, redundant information and more. Tyler was super pissed at Channel 7 in particular but urged the listeners to phone any and all of the local TV stations and stress your disappointment with the constant interruptions of local television.

Blue House came in studio this morning and played a couple of songs for TnT. They had the Rent To Own horns with them and Joe brought sausage and butter for Todd and Tyler. As always, the band sounded awesome. You can catch them performing at Jackers near 148th and Industrial tonight and tomorrow night.

Mayoral candidate Mike Fahey dropped by the show today. He spent some time talking with TnT about the race and how things will go after he gets elected. They also took phone calls from listeners who had questions for the candidate. Mostly though, they kept away from too much political talk. Mike just joked around and had fun with the guys.

David Strassman from the Funny Bone came in this morning and brought his puppet Chuck Wood with him. David brought Chuck out pretty early in his visit and TnT found themselves staring at the dummy as they always do when a ventriloquist comes in studio. The guys talked with David about his success in Australia and Europe. Later, they went into the upcoming off-Broadway show that he’s putting together. At one point in the show, the guys were talking about how the first big star in early radio was a ventriloquist. Tyler mentioned how stupid he thought that was because listeners can’t see the puppet. Well, that must have upset David’s puppet because the damn thing spit at Tyler. It was quite funny. This show at the Funny Bone is David’s last show so I strongly suggest you make an effort to get out to see him. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations.
