Wednesday 5-16-01

Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning discussing last night’s big concert. Donnie went to see Styx and Bad Company and gave the guys a full report, which consisted mostly of mullets and long boob sightings. The concert was only about a fourth full so there was plenty of room for people to sneak off and knock it out. Well, that’s the impression TnT got after hearing at least 2 stories of sexual activity that took place in the Civic last night. They’d gotten a report that one couple was caught knocking it out. Then they got a call from a listener who was at the show and said that through his binoculars, he saw a man diddling his lady in the dark.

Mayor elect Mike Fahey called Todd and Tyler this morning to thank them for letting him come on their show before the election. The guys congratulated him and talked with Mike about his victory and upcoming plans. Mike also said that he is going to play in the 8th Annual Todd and Tyler Golf Tournament next Friday. After their discussion with Mr. Fahey, the guys spent a time trying to figure out where all of the city councilmen’s parties were held all over town. They continued this throughout most of the show and had figured nearly all of the locations out by the end of the day.

The guys took a little time this morning to thank Channel 6 and Channel 7 for their election coverage last night. As we’re aware, TnT have been ranting about the possibility of election interruptions during a few of their favorite TV shows but from all accounts, the interruptions were minimal. Yes, the screen was shrunk throughout most of the hour -long episodes of “Frasier” and “NYPD Blue” but no actual programming was missed due to break-ins. TnT did comment that the constant stream of results was unnecessary because the results listed at the bottom of the screen were only updated once an hour.

With little interruptions of regular TV last night, that meant TnT got to see the ass of a hot, blonde stripper on “NYPD Blue”. The guys spent some time discussing her bum and at one point, Todd, Tyler and Travis all mentally shout down for about 3 seconds as they remembered the scene. I laughed so hard at the silence that I fell off my chair.

Later in the show, TnT spoke with Rob McCartney of Channel 7. Last night during the 5 and 6pm news, Rob stated that they would not be breaking into “NYPD Blue”. Tyler was convinced that Rob meant it directly for him. Well, when TnT spoke with Rob, he said that he was indeed thinking of Tyler when he said that. TnT also talked with Rob about the election coverage in general last night.

To continue on with the attempted destruction of the indestructible phone they were given, the guys had Donnie put the cell phone in a trashcan and run it over with his truck. The audio was pretty cool and very loud. After he’d completed the task, Donnie reached in to the burning hot aluminum garbage can and found that the phone still worked. Later, the guys sent Brian down to the parking lot and had him run over the phone a few times with his Houston Lawns mower. Amazingly again, the phone survived the brutality. The guys spent a little time trying to come up with new ideas for ways to try to destroy the indestructible phone. I’m sure we’ll hear more tomorrow.

TnT spoke with Johnny B of the Jerky Boys today. He talked with the guys about his movie career, the work he’s done on Fox’s “The Family Guy” and told a few stories about various legal issues that surround the Jerky Boys albums. He was pretty cool. Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and delivered a commentary on an 18-year-old girl who’s auctioning her virginity over the Internet. Larry will probably check in again before the end of the week so stay tuned.

TnT spoke with comedian Willie Ferrell this morning. They discussed how Willie bumped into Billy Idol in Vegas at 3am recently, talked about the Sopranos and discussed Willie’s mob relatives for a bit. Towards the end of the show, TnT spent some time talking about the 4-some they were going to give away to their golf tournament. They brainstormed some ideas and came to the conclusion that they were going to try to give the slots in their tournament to a few good looking women. They discussed the weight and breast size requirements of the 4 contestants and admitted to sounding like “pigs” doing so, but it was pretty funny. All of the ladies who phoned in to try to get the spots in the tourney played along. They ended up getting two women penned in, Christine and Gina, while still leaving the last 2 slots open. Perhaps they’ll make a decision tomorrow.
