| Straight Pimpin ![]() | TnT Show 05-17-2001 Thursday 5-17-01 Todd and Tyler began this morning’s show by discussing last night’s Z-92 night at the Funny Bone. As has become a tradition, TnT arrived at work today a bit hung over. According to their beliefs, they’re not able to accurately judge the amount of alcohol they consume at the Funny Bone due to their constant laughing, therefore, they always end up getting more hammered than they believed and have to perform the Thursday morning shows hung over. They propped up the comedians for last night’s performance and urged everyone to go see the show this weekend. The guys spent the first part of the show basically talking about anything and everything. In order to avoid a bunch of tiny paragraphs and having to come up with a transition for each one to the next, I’m going to write the next paragraph in “tangent mode”. Todd and Tyler discussed the naked GoGo coming up in August’s Playboy issue. TnT then renamed Brian “Brian W.” in honor of his Bush-like republicanism. They awarded Brian a $100 gift certificate to a restaurant where raccoons eat fried chicken. The existence of the “coon cat” was debated and explained; the concept of which totally freaked out both Todd and Tyler. They dubbed Donnie with a new nickname, “the weakest link”. Donnie shot at a cell phone with a shotgun. They phoned Tyler’s dad and talked to him about a news story in York, PA, just 30 miles south of where Ed lives. The story was about the town’s mayor of 8 years who is just now being accused of a racial killing that took place back in the 60’s. Ed filled TnT in on some of the details Brian didn’t have available. The guys got a call from a female caller who claimed that she saw Slaveboy Jeremy with a hottie yesterday showing off the Mazda Miata Todd and Tyler are giving away. TnT spent some time trying to figure out who the hottie was but couldn’t come up with anything. They then called Jeremy and tried to pry it out of him. The Slaveboy wouldn’t give it up and claimed that perhaps the caller had seen himself and his buddy Bubba in the car and mistook Jeremy and his long hair for the hottie in question. TnT didn’t buy that, though. They later heard that Mrs. Robinson (his girlfriend) phoned Jeremy all mad and wanted to know who the hottie was too. The conversation with Jeremy led Todd and Tyler into a lengthy discussion about cheating and getting caught cheating. Both the hosts shared several stories about their days as less than faithful guys. TnT opened up the phone lines and took calls from listeners who had stories to share about cheating as well. Snaky Billy came in studio today and did a couple of songs for TnT. When the guys found out the singer is the owner of a tattoo shop, they phoned their friend Carol Schrader and tried to once again convince her into getting one of her cans inked in their studio. Carol chatted with TnT for a while but said she’d have to do more thinking about it. You can catch the band playing tonight at the Music Box with Ox 45 at around 10pm. George Canter from the Funny Bone came in and hung out with TnT for a few hours. He spent about an hour talking about obscure baseball players and sports trivia with the guys. Later in the conversation, they discussed various sports figures they’d like to kill based on bad plays or things they did to screw up their own favorite teams. Tonight George will be headlining the Funny Bone show. Tomorrow, he’ll be the second act, followed by Willie Farrell. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations. This show is going to be awesome. Well, that’s the Thursday update. Tune in tomorrow for Willie Farrell and a possible “B-list interview”. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
