Friday 6-1-01

Todd and Tyler started off their show by taking a call from a listener named Keenan who had been up all night partying. Keenan said his friend David was throck blocking a girl named Kim, which, it turns out, both guys wanted badly. TnT tried to phone her a few times but she didn’t answer. Later in the show, the woman e-mailed the guys and gave them a link to her personal web page. They phoned her again, she finally answered and they all briefly talked about the Keenan and David situation. Later still, she sent them an additional link to her naked pictures on the web site. TnT had some fun talking about the photos and discussed how they were bombarded with e-mails from male listeners asking for the address to her naked photos. TnT wouldn’t give the address out but feel free to e-mail Kim at cyber-girl167@webtv.net and try to talk her out of the address.

Brian did this morning’s news and broke a story about how Thunder Collins was arrested for failure to appear in court. As it turns out, Thunder was cited for having a loud party by the university police but didn’t show up to his court appearance and is now in trouble. The exact charge was something to the effect of, “Keeping a disorderly house”. The guys spent some time talking about Thunder as well as the upcoming College World Series and various other news items.

Larry the Cable Guy came in studio and hung out with TnT for a while. He brought Shannon McGlocklin, his opening act, with him. Shortly into their visit, the two comedians started eating doughnuts on the air. TnT got a little pissed because, frankly, it’s rather rude eating on the microphone so they yelled at Larry and Shannon.

Todd and Tyler got into a huge debate with Larry about the Huskers being in the CWS this year. They pointed out what they’ve been saying all along, that Husker fans will ruin the experience. Larry disagreed and then they spent the next half hour bickering back and forth about it. Larry just couldn’t see Todd and Tyler’s legitimate point of view because he had his Husker blinders on. TnT just decided to move on and drop the subject because there was no way to reason with Larry the Cable Guy and his infinite Husker Neckness.

Later in the show, Todd and Tyler had Larry and some former Midland students face off in a Midland spelling contest. Some of the listeners were able to spell the words right and were awarded tickets to see various Larry shows at the Funny Bone this weekend. It was pretty funny stuff and, surprisingly, Larry was able to spell nearly all, if not all of the words correctly. Make sure you get out to the Funny Bone this weekend to catch Larry’s show. Towards the end of the show, TnT discussed a moral dilemma surrounding a party that Slave Boy Jeremy is throwing over the weekend. TnT are invited, as are many of the people in the sales department who don’t exactly like TnT. The guys talked about whether or not they wanted to go or should be obligated to go if most of the people who will be at the party don’t like them. They tried to call Jeremy towards the end of the show but only reached his voice mail. We may hear a follow up on this on Monday so tune in.
