Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning by talking a little bit about yesterday’s CWS games and some items in the news. During Brian’s newscast, he mentioned that California is going to have to use ethanol in their gasoline instead of the current additive, which was deemed a pollutant. The guys got into a discussion about the use of the ethanol additive in gasoline and how it will affect the economy of Nebraska, as ethanol is a byproduct of corn. They didn’t understand why anyone would use it because it costs the same at the pump as regular gasoline and, according to what they have heard, car manufacturers don’t suggest people use it in their automobiles. Several callers checked in with their own points of view and pointed out that the ethanol additive burns cleaner due to it’s slightly higher octane level. The callers also suggested that we, as a corn producing state, stand to profit from California’s decision to use ethanol. The entire discussion provided for interesting debate.

The guys read over an article from Glamour magazine this morning that detailed 15 signs a woman can look for in a guy to tell whether or not he might be good in bed. TnT went over each of the points made in the article and discussed their validity. For the most part, the consensus was that the list was crap and you really couldn’t use any of the things on it to determine if a guy would be good in bed. They took phone calls throughout the show from lady listeners and went over the things in the list with them to get their takes on each. Things like where the guy sits on a date, how much money he spends, whether or not he chews his fingernails, if he has a dog and if he writes the letter ‘y’ with a loopy thing at the bottom were among the things Glamour felt would help women pick out a winner in bed. Most of the callers this morning seemed to agree with TnT that the list was crap and you couldn’t tell by any of the items whether a guy would be good in the sack. A few items, however, did seem to make a difference to several of the women including whether the guy could dance and if he was a shorter guy.

As Todd and Tyler carried on their discussion of the Glamour magazine article, Tyler’s dad and fiancé Becky came in studio. She went over the list with the guys and talked about Tyler’s love making skills. Surprisingly, this visit to the show didn’t prompt Becky to call anyone a whore, as there were no mentions of Courtney Love or Angelina Jolie in today’s broadcast. I was saddened when the show ended without a single “whore” comment coming from Becky because I always find that very funny. My wife has the exact same reaction any time Brittney Spears or Cameron Diaz appear on the TV. Perhaps another day.

During Brian’s entertainment newscast, he read over titles of 100 movies on the American Film Institute’s list of the top 100 suspense films of all time. CBS broadcast the program last night but the guys didn’t get the chance to see it. As Brian read the list, backwards and in chunks of ten, the guys talked about some of the films, whether or not the films deserved to be on the list and the placement within the list of some of the movies they felt should have been ranked higher or lower.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and gave TnT a commentary on how pissed off he is about a possible gay pride month being established.

The guys talked with Chad from Ticket Express again today. They wanted to find out how things have changed now that the Huskers aren’t in the CWS. Chad said he has plenty of tickets now because a lot of Husker fans dumped their tickets after the Big Red Loss.
