Tuesday 6-19-01

Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning by discussing the new TV show “Fear Factor”. They didn’t seem to like it because the whole fear aspect of the program seemed removed due to the safety equipment some of the stunts required the contestants to wear. They didn’t see where fear came in to play when the people participating in the show knew they wouldn’t get hurt because they were strap to a harness. Also early in the show, TnT discussed some items in the news and last night’s weather coverage.

TnT spent some time trying to coax any broadcaster in town who might be gay to come out on their show. They’ve heard about several homosexual newscasters in town but none of them had actually come out of the closet. TnT offered up their show as the vehicle to launch such newscaster out of the television homosexual closet and into the realm of openly gay. They pushed the topic throughout the morning but didn’t get the call they were looking for.

Well, yet another Husker is in the news. Josh Brown the place kicker was arrested for fighting with his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend after the couple had returned from a date. Todd and Tyler spent quite a bit of time this morning discussing the event and how none of the local TV stations had picked up on the story yet. They also said that the World Herald didn’t cover the story and they had to get the report from the Lincoln Journal Star. They read the article several times throughout the show and they even made a new Husker training film that was like a glossary of terms people could use in reference to various Husker crimes. They tried to call Lisa Volenec to give her the news but she didn’t answer.

In the paper today was an article out of a Detroit magazine that was about a “quarter life crisis”. The premise of the article was to describe the early mid-life crisis, hence quarter life crisis, which comes when one turns about 25-years-old. They talked about being various ages and what people should and should not expect of that age. They took a lot of calls from people who were taking turning 25 or 30-years-old pretty tough. They also got calls from people who said the ones claiming to be going through this made up quarter life crisis were all just a bunch of babies. From the sounds of it, the people affected by this new crisis were mostly women who were having trouble with getting older and not having their childhood aspirations met like they expected.

There was a little talk on yesterday’s show about the female squirting phenomenon. The topic continued today as TnT received calls from men who had been with squirters and several actual squirting females checked in too. One caller even claimed that his wife had taught herself to squirt after seeing a porno movie. Yet another caller was bummed out that his wife didn’t do it, thinking that either he or she had something wrong with them. It was a pretty interesting discussion and I’m sure we haven’t heard the last of it.
