| Straight Pimpin ![]() | TnT Show 07-10-2001 Tuesday 7-10-01 Todd and Tyler started off the show this morning by discussing some details of the Z Bash. They mentioned a bunch of varying prices and said the tickets will be available at Burger King locations around town starting Saturday. The pricing information they gave out throughout the show happened to be incorrect. You can read a bit more about this later in the update. Also early in the show, the guys spent some time discussing items in Brian’s newscast. Kevin McKenzie from the Great Plains Counseling Center came in this morning and hung out with TnT for a while. This morning’s questions seemed to focus on women who tend to gravitate towards abusive relationships. Lots of callers checked in with their own questions and stories relating to the topic. There were some other questions that didn’t relate to the main topic but for the most part, people seemed to come back to the abusive relationship discussion. Kevin will rejoin Todd and Tyler in a couple of weeks so keep your counseling questions in mind for him. Also, you can reach the Great Plains Counseling Center by phoning 292-7712. Todd and Tyler announced the next act for the Z Bash this year. Quiet Riot will be taking the stage on Saturday August 18th at Levi Carter Park sometime before David Lee Roth! The guys played a few clips of various Quiet Riot tunes and mentioned they’d be offering up further details on other artists as the week progresses. At around 9am, Bruce Patrick came in studio and gave TnT some updated pricing information on the tickets for the big Z Bash. The actual price of the tickets is $21.50 but you can get $2 off the ticket price if you purchase a value meal at the time of your ticket purchase from Burger King. TnT seemed a bit upset at this because they’ve been saying all morning that the ticket price was $19.92 and only $17.92 if you buy a value meal. They felt as though they now looked like fools for unknowingly misleading the listeners. It was pretty obvious that the guys were upset and I’m guessing they most likely will be having a meeting this afternoon to get the situation cleared up. But, for you and I, the ticket prices remain the same. $21.50 each or $19.50 if you buy your ticket along with a Burger King value meal. Tune in tomorrow as TnT will announce yet another Z Bash artist! Towards the end of the show, TnT spent some time discussing foods and drinks. They discussed the reasons behind Coke’s attempted new formula back in the 80’s, why Dr. Pepper used to have a clock on the can, the 33 on a Rolling Rock bottle and more. Donnie gave the guys a Coke Vs. Pepsi challenge and it was hard for TnT to tell the difference. They also had a big debate over whether or not natural casing hot dogs were superior to regular hot dogs and whether it was better to grill or boil each. During the conversation, TnT also discussed various places in town where one could get a real Philly Cheese Steak, Chicago-style hot dog or a real Italian Sub. That’s it for the update today. Check back tomorrow for the Wednesday version. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
