| A 39 and a half foot pole! ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 07-24-2001 Tuesday 7-24-01 Todd and Tyler started off this mornings show by talking about a variety of things including tax rebates, embryonic stem cell research and more. Tyler received his tax credit check from the government yesterday even though he didnt get a letter prior to that explaining he would indeed be getting a rebate. He assumed the letter never came because his social security number put him among the first batch of people to get their checks. He said that he was going to use the money as a deposit for his upcoming reception. Oddly, when he announced that, we could hear a bead of sweat from Tylers bucket-like forehead hit his microphone. During the stem cell research discussion, Todd said, as Nancy Regan, something to the effect of Ronnys got Alzheimers? Well lets rip the spinal cords out of a couple of those West Side kids! Well, as humorous as it was, that effectively knocked the wind out of both Tyler and Donnie for a brief moment. They were able to regain conciousness and continue. Also early in the show, the guys discussed getting a mascot for the environmental groups. I believe Hard-on the Duck was their choice. I have no idea how that topic came about and would prefer not to ponder the evolution of that discussion any further. Ill just leave you with whatever mental image Hard-on the Duck musters up for you. During Brians newscast, he did a story on a man who pooped in line at the DMV in South Carolina. The people at the DMV wouldnt clean it up. Instead, they opted to put a chair around the mess and shift the line over a bit. The news story prompted Todd, Tyler and Donnie to share various poop-related stories they had in their lives. A few callers checked in as well but the topic was quickly shut down after it became evident that carrying on the poop stories might effectively cause the universe to collapse in on itself. Kevin McKenzie from the Great Plains Counseling Center came in this morning and spent several hours with Todd and Tyler. When he arrived, TnT were discussing stupid nicknames people give themselves after a caller asked that TnT refer to him as 9-Ball. From there, Todd, Tyler and Kevin played a little radio cutthroat as TnT listeners phoned in as various other numbered pool balls. After several minutes of intense play, Kevin was able to secure a victory as balls 1 through 5 phoned in before 6 through 10 or 11 through 15. The guys took many phone calls for Kevin during his two our visit. Topics discussed seemed to center around relationship issues, ways of dealing with divorce when children are involved and how someone should go about naming their childs genitalia. Kevin seems to be getting much more comfortable with TnT and being on the radio with each visit. He will be back in about 2 weeks so start storing up your questions for him now. Also, you can reach the Great Plains Counseling Center by phoning 292-7712. When Travis arrived to do sports, the guys received a phone call from the brother of someone Travis used to work with. The caller informed TnT that Travis had borrowed his brothers golf clubs 3 and a half years ago. TnT spent about an hour giving Attaboy Travis a hard time for being so cheap that he wont even buy his own golf clubs. Even the counselor Kevin thought Travis had some issues. Im sure today isnt the last well hear of Traviss bogarted golf clubs. To wrap up the show, Todd and Tyler played a few customized audio clips sent to them by David Lee Roth to promote his upcoming performance at this years Z Bash 2001. The clips were pretty cool and had David energetically rambling various things about the show. Im sure well hear them again so stay tuned to Z-92 and the Todd and Tyler show. Well, thats the update for today. Check back tomorrow for the Wednesday version. Also, make sure you tune in tomorrow for radio bumper pool! Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
