Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning discussing the funds Z-92, Journal Broadcasting and Channel 7 raised over the past few days. So far, over $150,000 has been gathered by local people to help aid in the relief efforts to those in need. TnT spent a bit of time talking about the TV coverage various members of the station received yesterday, which included an interview with Slave Boy Jeremy that aired on Channel 7. The video clip showed Jeremys response to a title companys donation of $6000+. TnT phoned him early in the show to get his take on his first television appearance. They were amused at what Jeremy said on TV, which pretty much consisted of him repeating, I really dont know what to say. Jeremy responded to TnTs inquiry by saying that he was a bit nervous at being on TV and wasnt exactly sure how to handle it. Also relating to television coverage, TnT also had two hate e-mails sent to them this morning that came in from people who didnt listen well enough to yesterdays show. One guy misunderstood a story The second e-mailer was upset at Brian and TnT for reporting a short list of recognizable names of people on the planes or in the buildings that the media covered all day yesterday. The media, TnTs show included, simply reported those few recognizable names to help the rest of the nation put a face with those lost in the attack. The e-mailer felt that by doing so, TnT were putting the lives of those people at more of a value than the lives of the rest of the people not being mentioned (but turned out to be mentioned all day and night last night, continuing as the rescuers find them today). TnT once again had to explain their reasons for doing the story and chastised the listener for taking such an approach to what they were actually trying to do yesterday. Brian read a couple of news stories this morning that helped bring us all back to the reality that is living in Omaha. Four men were arrested in One of TnTs favorite comics, Craig Peters from the Funny Bone came in this morning wearing a cowboy hat. The guys gave him a hard time about it for a bit before continuing on with their show. Sean Gnant also came in but he will not be performing this weekend. Craig and Sean joined in on the topics of the day and urged the TnT listeners to come to the show this evening to help alleviate everyones nerves after the tragedy in DC and TnT had their phone lines open all morning and continued getting calls from listeners relating to the terrorist attacks on Tuesday, as well as other subjects. Throughout the last half of the show, TnT spent a bit of time discussing some predictions made by Nostradomus. Earlier in the show, Donnie yelled something about not wanting any more Nostradomus calls to come in. Having not heard anything related to him or his predictions yet, I was curious. Donnie, on the other hand, didnt want to have anything to do with it. Well, eventually TnT started talking about one prediction in particular that Nostradomus ha made that related heavily to Tuesdays attacks. I cant remember the exact wording of the prediction but when it was read on the air, it was certainly very, very eerie. As they continued to discuss it, other callers checked in who had seen television shows, movies or who had read books on Nostradomus and elaborated further on the prediction. In a stoke of genius (I cant believe Im saying this either), Donnie mentioned something that I had never thought of before and it made complete sense. He asked something to the effect of why Ben Laden couldnt have been a fan of Nostradomuss work and therefore planned the terrorist attack to coincide with the dates and references made in the prediction. Maybe he was just following the script. The discussion made for an interesting end to the show. Well, thats the update today. Tune in from
