Wednesday 10-3-01

Todd and Tyler started of their show this morning by heading some more Husker fan hate e-mail. After discussing some of the points in the e-mail, the guys mentioned that they felt they provide some of the best Husker coverage in the media. They based their logical conclusion on the fact that not only do they discuss, in depth, the Husker program in general, the games themselves and details on the players but they also provide information that no other media outlet will acknowledge, for example, Baby Crouch. Many of the early morning listeners who phoned in agreed that TnT have the best Husker coverage in town.

Also early in the show, the guys spent a bit more time talking about the Susan O’Rourke bra photograph and they speculated on Travis’s reaction to the edited photo showing his face over Susan’s. TnT figured Travis would complain and ask for the photo to be removed but as of now, 1:35pm on Wednesday, I’ve yet to get a “Please remove the Travis bra photo” e-mail.

Larry the Cable Guy phoned TnT this morning and delivered a commentary about the threats being hyped in the media regarding chemical weapons. The commentary was great and you can hear more from Larry each week. He calls sporadically so just tune in for 4 ½ hours every day, 5 days a week and you’ll be sure to hear more from that sum’bitch Larry.

The Mexican with the big nuts (allegedly), Dr. Ed Dominguez came in this morning and spent several hours with Todd and Tyler. To begin with, the guys talked about the possibilities of biological or chemical weapons being used on the United States. Dr. Ed provided some information about what some of the chemicals and viruses do, how they affect people and he also discussed whether or not we need to be worried about such a threat. From there, Todd and Tyler opened up their phone lines and let the listeners pick the brains of the Rice graduate. The master of medical media, Dr. Dominguez, answered a plethora of questions about such topics as why it burns when you get soap in your pee hole, the caloric content of spooge (it’s very, very low ladies so indulge daily), the logistics involved in having sex with a pregnant woman, brain aneurisms and a variety of questions from people with an assortment of poop problems. Even former Husker and current medical student, Rob Zatika phoned in with a question today, although I can neither confirm nor deny the question was about spooge calories. As usual, it was yet another great Dr. Ed visit. Keep in mind that if you didn’t get on the air this morning, Dr. Ed will be returning in a couple of weeks for another visit. Travis was back with the Todd and Tyler show today after missing yesterday’s show. He spent some time talking about the Iowa State press conference as well as talking about how the Husker’s next opponent looks. Trav also mentioned that he stopped into his old college to visit while on his way home from the press conference. During Travis’s visit, Todd and Tyler tried to get some sort of reaction out of Attaboy in regards to the Susan O’Rourke bra photo. Each time they attempted to bring it up, Travis growled like a bone wielding Neanderthal in a futile attempt to drown out their questions. It was pretty obvious he didn’t want to discuss the whole thing because it may lead to him getting into some sort of trouble with his bosses over at Fox. Even though he wouldn’t join in on the fodder with Todd and Tyler, it was still quite amusing to hear his growl of discomfort.

To wrap up the show, TnT continued discussing a variety of the topics that arose during the earlier portions of today’s broadcast. They re-read several of the hate e-mails they covered early in the show and took a few calls from people who had stories about colonostomies. Brian’s kicker story in either his news or entertainment segment (I can’t recall which) was a story about a guy who got run over by a car after throwing a tantrum in the street when he was pulled over by police. TnT thought the story was pretty funny and opened up their phone lines to anyone who had been run over before. Surprisingly, they actually got a handful of calls from people who had been run over by cars; most of which were tales of being run over by one’s parent.
