| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 10-05-2001 Friday 10-5-01 Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing an article in the paper about West Side high school. According to a survey, a large number of students are doing some pot smoking and alcohol drinking. The discussion of the article combined with Todds tale of his first trip to a bar (sparked by an Alice Cooper song TnT started the show with) lead the guys into sharing a few stories of their own about how they obtained alcohol when they were minors. Also early in the show, TnT received yet another Husker fan hate e-mail. This one, like many of the others the guys have read recently, was upset with TnT for their discussions about Baby Crouch, as well as their Husker talk in general. The e-mailer seemed to like Travis though. When Travis arrived, TnT read that portion of the e-mail to him and he got a kick out of it. Todd and Tylers discussion about how they used to obtain beer when they were minors sparked many listeners to phone in and tell similar stories, which continued throughout much of the show. After a while, it became clear that a majority of the stories being shared involved people stealing beer in one way or another. I really feel this paragraph should be bigger because those calls were a large chunk of the early morning show but there really isnt too much to detail. Kids steal beer and use fake IDs. What else can you say? Travis came in to do sports this morning, as well as picking a Lock and Box of the week. Attaboy selected Ohio State giving up 2 ½ to Northwestern as his Lock. His Box of the Week is Leanne Barette from the professional womens bowling league. J.J. Ramirez from the Funny Bone came in this morning and spent a few hours hanging out with the guys. He joined in on the topics of the day. Initially, he seemed surprised at what Todd and Tyler were able to say on the air but it didnt take him long to fit into the show. During his visit, he shared some stories about New York City, where hes from. He had seen the World Trade Center towers the night before they were destroyed. J.J. talked about the city for a while and also went into the feelings New Yorkers have since the attacks. At one point, he went off on a rant about how the mob has been taking scrap metal from the towers and selling it for a profit. That situation seemed to piss him off pretty good. J.J. also spent some time making fun of Brian (shorts boy), which was pretty damn funny. Later in his visit, the guys discussed Porto Rican women, dancing, getting cut and what a flake Rosie Perez is. Check out J.J. at the Funny Bone this weekend. Call 493-8036 for reservations. It should be an awesome show. Shortly after a quarter to 9am, Todd had to leave the show to make a court appearance. Although Todd couldnt discuss what the situation was surrounding his trip to the courthouse, it could be concluded that it has something to do with his divorce and/or a custody battle between he and his ex-wife. Were all aware to some extent of Todds personal troubles with his ex-wife but due to a court order, he hasnt been able to talk about it on the air. This morning was no different. Hopefully, hell get everything all straightened up so we can laugh at the pain hes been in for the last few months. Donnie did a fine job sitting in for Todd for the remainder of the show as he answered phone calls and pissed Tyler off by impersonating Todd. Unexplained quote of the day from Tyler: My sister didnt know I was finger banging this chick. Well, thats the Friday update. Tune in on Monday from 5:30am to 10am for another show and then check back here in the afternoon for the update. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
