Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by talking a bit about the bombings taking place in Afghanistan. The US is at it again but there really hasnt been any significant damage reported because, frankly, Afghanistan doesnt have any high-value targets. Their army is sleeping in caves after all. The guys also read an e-mail from a listener who loves them but was upset with them for talking about the Huskers all the time. He claimed that the only place he hears anything about the Huskers is on their show. TnT didnt believe him because this town is full of Husker freaks, media included. Also early in the show, Brian came in and did the news. The guys spent a bit of time discussing a variety of things in the newscast before welcoming their guest.
Kevin Mackenzie from the Great Plains Counseling Center came in this morning and spent several hours with Todd and Tyler. When Brian wrapped up his newscast, he read a report that tried to say that cheating could strengthen a relationship by causing the cheater to better appreciate his/her spouse. Kevin couldnt sign off on that idea. The guys then spent some time taking phone calls from people who had cheating stories to share and wanted Kevins advice on how to deal with their situations. Tyler talked a bit about his days cheating and claimed that what he did wasnt as bad as the cheating Todd and Donnie had done in the past because he was unmarried and had no kids. Donnie disagreed and from there, they went round and round for a while. It was a very funny exchange and both Donnie and Tyler made good points. Kevin seemed to sum it up the best, though, by saying what both of them had done was probably less than ideal.
Later in Kevins visit, he gave everyone a depression-screening test to find out whether any of the guys were feeling blue. Everyone answered each question and analyzed everyone elses answers. Before Kevin left, he mentioned that he will be taking part in a free Depression Screening at the Emanuel Lutheran Church on Thursday, October 11th from 11am to 7pm. The church is located at 104 Galvin Rd. N in Bellevue and everyone is welcome to come to the event. For further details for to visit with someone at the Great Plains Counseling Center, just phone 292-7712.
Charlie, friend of the show, recently paid $40 for a machine that tightens up your abs by using some sort of electrical shock. He dropped it off for TnT to play with Donnie hooked it up to several places on his body. The result was a bunch of twitching.
During sports, Travis was all jacked up. He had gotten into the supply of KMX, the energy drink that is helping sponsor the Caravan of Creeps. Needless to say, it was an interesting sports cast.
Brians entertainment report included a story about a Jackyl song that bitches about bin Laden. Donnie found the song and TnT played it towards the end of their show. It was basically a bunch of I hate you bin Laden chants followed up by the unintelligible, AC/DC-like screaming of Jackyls lead singer. Todd liked the song because there was an audio clip from Patton and Todd got to do his favorite line from the movie after being set up by Donnie. Do you pray, asked Donnie? Every God damn day, said Todd. I swear I heard Tylers head explode for a split second. He seems to detest Todds Patton with every ounce of hatred in the universe. It made me laugh though.
Todd and Tyler are going to be at the Delta House at 108th and Maple Street tonight from 6 to 8pm to kick off the Caravan of Creeps. After 8pm, Donnie is going to take some of tonights chosen winners in the Chub to visit a couple of haunted houses, Frightmares and Haunted Hollow. Tonights winners will be able to go right to the front of the line of these haunted houses. Next Tuesday the Caravan of Creeps continues at the Red Eye Tavern. Make sure you stop on out to the Delta House tonight for Todd and Tylers happy hour thing and help get the Caravan of Creeps started off with a bang, or a haunted sheep.
Well, thats the Tuesday update. Tune in tomorrow from 5:30am to 10am for another show and then check back here in the afternoon for the update. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
