Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by talking about last night’s Monday Night Football game. The game itself was rather boring and, according to Travis when he first arrived, possibly one of the worst MNF games in history. TnT moved on and talked about a few items in the newspaper and read over some e-mails. The guys got an early morning call from Slammer who wanted to give them specific details of how he used his watch as collateral for a bar tab last Friday night at Figby’s when he went to see Blue House. He also shared with TnT the story about how he got home, which was rather amusing. TnT seemed to get a kick out of the idea that offering his watch as collateral for the bar tab actually worked in real life because it seems like something that would only be done in a movie. Also during the first segment of the show and before the news, Donnie came in and told TnT about an interview he set up with Max Gail, formerly of “Barney Miller”. The guys talked a bit about the career of Max Gail before moving on.

Trisha Meuret from Channel 7 came in again today to cover the news and entertainment portion of the show for Brian, who is on vacation in the Bahamas. During her newscast, she reported on the sentencing of the man who beat a guy to death with a hammer after he woke up and found his buddy giving him a Diekman. That story spawned some phone calls from TnT listeners who wanted to share their ideas on the legitimacy of the man’s story. Trisha will be returning throughout the rest of the week.

At last night’s MNF appearance, Todd and Tyler’s lawyer friend Michael informed them that he had received an e-mail from Travis over the weekend telling him about the birth of his new daughter. Michael also said that there were about 40 other “CC”ed names on the e-mail, but Todd and Tyler weren’t among them. The guys seemed legitimately upset at the fact that nearly everyone in town got an e-mail from Travis about his new baby except for them. Even some callers piled on and joked about how they got e-mails but TnT didn’t. When Travis came in, he claimed that he didn’t know the guy’s home e-mail addresses and figured he would just tell them about the baby on Monday. I don’t think TnT bought his excuse, though.

All the early morning talk about Max Gail lead TnT into a discussion about the best and worst guests they’ve ever had on the show. The guys bounced a few ideas off of each other and then opened up the phone lines and e-mail for listener to check in with their opinions. Lots of people seemed to agree that the interviews with R. Lee Ermey, Bobcat, Pauly Shore, Nugent, Andrew Dice Lay and a few more were some of the best. In the category of worst interviews, everyone also seemed to agree that Deathwish Dan and Bob Vila topped the list.

Big Pussy and James the Giant Peach were at the Fantasies gas station on 147^th and Maple Street this morning along with the people from Cricket Communications. The price of gas was dropped to $0.92 from 7:30am to 9am this morning as part of the promotion. Big Pussy checked in during that time period and gave TnT progress reports. At one point, Todd and Tyler had Big Pussy pass the phone over to a Cricket hottie named Christina. They tried to talk Big Pussy up and get the guy a date but Christina didn’t seem willing to dump her broke, jobless boyfriend of 4 months for a the very lovable, kind Big Pussy.

Tammy Pescatelli from the Funny Bone came by this morning and hung out with TnT for a bit. She joined in on the topics of the day and shared a few stories of her own with TnT. One of the more humorous ones was about her midget neighbors. Their daughter is a midget porn star and at one point, Tammy actually saved the mother from dying when the little woman fell head first into a washing machine. Tammy will be back in studio on Thursday morning. Tune in and make sure to call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations to catch her act this weekend!

Todd and Tyler spoke with Max Gail of “Barney Miller” fame this morning. They spent a bit of time discussing his career as an actor, how he got started and some about his activist work with Native Americans. The interview seemed to focus on the financial aspects of Max’s career, as TnT were quite interested in whether or not Max was still receiving residual checks from “Barney Miller” now that it’s airing on Nick At Night. They also got Max’s opinion on the money actors on today’s hottest television shows make compared to when he was on “Miller”. After the Max Gail interview, the guys spent a couple of minutes analyzing the discussion. Earlier in the day, they had given Donnie a hard time about scheduling yet another washed up “B” list guest from an old 70’s TV show. During their talk of the Max Gail interview, everyone seemed to agree that, although Mr. Gail was a nice guy, he was boring and didn’t really talk about anything of interest. He was no Grizzly Adams!
