Friday 10-19-01

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning a little bit on the crabby side. Todd hit a few too many snooze bars and was super rushed to get to work. When he arrived, the studio computer was causing them some problems. Everything seemed to fix itself though and the guys jumped into what would become yet another great show.

Trisha Meuret from Channel 7 was in this morning and did the news for Brian, who will be returning next Monday. During her report, the guys spent some time discussing killer dogs and the idiotic anthrax panics, as well as other items in the news.

Officer Chub from the Omaha Police Department stopped by the studio and hung out for a bit. He teaches police recruits at the training academy along with his other regular officer duties. TnT spoke with him about police training as well as dog attacks. The gang also talked about the new Police Union Hall right by the Gordman’s off of 134^th and Center Street. On Sunday from Noon to 6pm, they are having an open house type of thing where people can see the building and participate in some events including the “Shoot/Don’t Shoot” laser game (if you are 18+). Stop on out this weekend.

TnT phoned Trisha’s parents this morning. They first spoke with her mother Holly. She seemed to be able to hang pretty well with TnT but she did pass the phone to Trisha’s father Pat shortly into the conversation. Pat spoke with TnT about the grain elevator business as well as telling TnT that the only people he’s ever had to fire was Trisha and her sister.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in today and delivered a commentary on farting in church. There’s really not much more of an explanation I can give you. Tune in next week for more from Larry.

Travis provided another Lock and Box today. His Lock of the Week is Kansas at home giving 1 to the Tigers. His Box of the Week is Cheryl Hines from HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.

From the Funny Bone, Vinnie Favorito stopped in. He joined in on the topics of the day and ranted about the terrorists for a bit. He also seemed to be hitting on Trisha, as he said he wanted to nail her while she was doing a report on TV.Phone the Bone at 493-8036 for reservations to this weekend’s shows.
