Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing last night’s Lewis Black show at the Funny Bone. The guys didn’t have enough good things to say about Lewis and were looking forward to his visit with them later in the morning. The guys also had a little reaction from their Shank, Pass, and Shank competition yesterday. Channel 3 aired some video of the TnT event during the 5 and 10 o’clock news. According to reports, Travis bragged a little bit about winning the competition but was put in his place when the Channel 3 folks slowed down video of his kicking style and spent some time analyzing his unorthodox kicking form.

Also early in the show, TnT got into a lengthy discussion about whether or not US TV stations should be showing video clips provided by the Taliban. They argued that such clips should not be shown because it’s anti-American propaganda. Brian tried to take the opposing point of view and said that if the US military isn’t providing the media with clips/information, they are obligated to get such things from any source they can.

At one point this morning, Brian mentioned that he thought his wife was looking into one of those funky Branson time-share vacation things. He noticed some scribbles on a piece of paper at home and what he read sounded remarkably similar to the story Donnie told on the air a few months ago. At that point, Donnie retold his time-share vacation story while TnT joined in. All three of them tried to make an effort to stop Brian from even thinking about taking part in the vacation.

TnT opened up the phone lines this morning and took some calls from listeners who wanted to talk about various barefoot kickers in the NFL. The discussion came up after TnT spent some time giving Donnie a hard time for punting barefoot yesterday during their Punt, Pass, and Kick competition. After a while, TnT shut down the conversation and welcomed their first guest of the morning.

David Lander, Squiggy from “Lavern and Shirley” came in the studio today and hung out with TnT for a while. He’s finishing up a national MS awareness tour. David discussed the disease with TnT and took lots of phone calls from listeners who had either questions about his acting career or about MS in general. He shared details about the creation of the Lenny and Squiggy characters, the TV show based on the characters that never made the air, various “Lavern and Shirley” related tales, and also other acting projects David has taken part in during his long career. It was a very cool visit with David this morning. He seemed to enjoy his time with TnT, as they enjoyed having him on the show. Travis came in this morning with a sports report. He also provided his Lock and Box of the week selections. For his Lock, Travis chose Oregon getting 3 at UCLA. For his Box, he chose Joey Chin from CNN. Thanks a lot for that one Travis! You know how hard it was to find a picture of her?!

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and delivered a commentary on how Bill Maher claimed he felt that he would not be returning as the host of “Politically Incorrect” in the future. Also, TnT finally received the new Larry the Cable Guy CD so the guys spent a bit of time discussing that. Before TnT let Larry go, Lewis Black arrived and spent a moment talking to his old friend Larry.

Lewis Black from the Funny Bone came by this morning and spent several hours with Todd and Tyler. You may know Lewis from his stand-up act or the rants he does on Comedy Centrals “The Daily Show”. He spent about two hours with TnT this morning discussing a plethora of topics including the airline industry, travel, various TV projects, Comedy Central and more. It’s nearly impossible for me to detail any of what he said but you can take my word that it was hilarious stuff. At one point, Lewis chewed Brian’s ass for yet another hour-long, non-entertaining entertainment report. TnT found it quite amusing and agreed with Lewis’s rants wholeheartedly.
