Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing some things from TV last night. NYPD Blue has a new timeslot and neither Todd nor Tyler like it. For Tyler, Fraiser, his favorite show, is airing when NYPD Blue is now so he has to tape one or the other. For Todd, hes got his kids on Tuesday evenings and before the lineup switch, he was able to drop off his kids and make it home in time to watch the show. Now, hes got to tape it and watch it later in the evening when he returns. The guys also read another hate e-mail from a listener who bitched randomly about anything and everything, horribly punctuating the letter, I might add.
In todays paper, Travis Justice was deemed The hardest-working man in show business according to Omaha.com target=blank>Tom Shatel. TnT spent some time pondering Toms claim and came to the conclusion that they slightly disagreed with him. Yes, Travis might be working 2 extra news shifts at Channel 3 now, but his overall minutes of airtime have, if anything, decreased. When Attaboy arrived, TnT talked with him about his job and Travis tried to say that he is indeed working harder now than before. TnT, of course, werent buying any of his crap though.
At one point in todays show, the guys spent a bit of time talking about a game Tyler saw some Afghan men playing on TV. As Tyler explained it, there were a bunch of Afghan men on horses dragging around the carcass of a goat and trying to throw it over a line in the sand. They were somehow keeping score and, at times, the men were attempting to steal the dead goat out of the hands of their opponents. Goat Ball, as it was dubbed, made for a hilarious discussion as well as a well-designed sound effect provided by Donnie. After talking about the dynamics of Goat Ball for a bit, TnT got a call from an Afghan man who moved to the US in the late 80s. He said his father used to play Goat Ball and then gave TnT some details on the rules of the game. It turns out that the men are actually dragging around the body of a dead calf. Even with that knowledge, TnT still continued to refer to the game as Goat Ball because its much funnier than Calf Ball. For the remainder of the day, Goat Ball discussions and sound effects peppered the show. Ladies and gentleman, you may be seeing Todd and Tylers Traveling Goat Ball All Stars team shortly.
Yesterday during Brians entertainment report, the guys had to cut the report into two segments due to Brians explosive diarrhea problem. Today, during Brians newscast, they once again had to cut the segment in two. This morning, however, it was Todds butt that snuck up on him. Tomorrow, it will be the ass of Tyler that will have the responsibility of splitting up one of Brians news segments. Make sure to tune in early so you dont miss it.
Larry the Cable Guy phoned in this morning and delivered a commentary on the fall of Kabul. It was one of Larrys better commentaries in recent weeks. Before he did todays commentary, Donnie phoned in as Larry the Cable Smoker, the gay Larry alter ego, and gave a homosexual style commentary that just made the real Larry queasy. Until Larry hooks TnT up with an interview from Larrys friend, a pro baseball player that I cant remember the name of, TnT will continue with the Larry the Cable Smoker bits.
Dr. Ed came in this morning and hung out with Todd and Tyler for several hours. He answered a variety of questions on topics ranging from chapped lips to tit twitching, aging spots, explosive diarrhea, and Brians bloody stools. Dr. Ed also announced that he will be moving to Tyler, TX in a few weeks. He is moving in order to be closer to his family. Dr. Ed will be working in a private practice called the Trinity Clinic and, according to speculations, he will be raking in much more bank than he has been living here in Nebraska and working for the state. Dr. Eds last visit to the TnT studio will be in a few weeks so make sure to stay tuned. Dr. Ed, we will all miss you and wish you the best of luck!
Ron Tater Salad White from the Funny Bone phoned TnT this morning. Hes fresh off the Blue Collar tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy. He talked with TnT about traveling a bit as well as discussing the death penalty in his home state of Texas. Ron will be appearing at the Funny Bone through the weekend, including tonights Z-92 night. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations. He will also be joining TnT in studio on Friday morning so make sure you tune in.
Tonight is another Z-92 night at the Funny Bone. You can get in for a buck a head or bring in a canned food donation for the Salvation Army and youll get in for free. Todd and Tyler will kick off the evening with some meat snacks and a specially marked urinal screen, which will lead one lucky audience member into getting an advanced copy of Wood Eye, Todd and Tylers new CD to be released on Saturday. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations.
Well, thats the update for today. Tune in tomorrow from 5:30am to 10am for another show and then check back here in the afternoon for the update. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
