Todd and Tyler started off their show today by talking about a variety of subjects. They had a nice turnout for last nights Monday Night Football game and Todd was pleased at his Vikings victory. News reports are stating that our troops have bin Laden narrowed down to a 30-mile area inside Afghanistan and we could be just days away from catching him. The guys wondered whether or not we should just kill him or capture him and put him on trial for being an asshole. They speculated that he would probably commit suicide before being taken prisoner by our bad-ass US military troops. They also mentioned that, according to some rule somewhere, if bin Laden is captured, it is possible for the troops who catch him to give him a military trial on the spot, which would most likely lead to bin Ladens demise from this planet via a nice melee of jack boots to the head. Also early in the show, TnT got some calls from Lincoln firefighters who told TnT they have a nice following in Lincoln. The firefighters also talked briefly about a recent trip to NYC, where they had met some of the firefighters who had been killed in the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Brian came in this morning and did new, which was wrapped up with a list of 10 of the most dangerous toys. After he read the list, TnT began to talk about toys they remembered from their childhood, such as Easy Bake Ovens, Incredible Edibles, and Creepy Crawlers. They wondered if such toys still existed and tossed around the idea of sending out a show staff member to track down the toys at some point in the future. They took a few calls from listeners who had memories of toys before moving on.
Kevin McKenzie from the Great Plains Counseling Center came in this morning and hung out with TnT for a few hours. The theme of his visit today seemed to be dysfunction and the holidays. Many callers checked in throughout the show to talk with Kevin and TnT about their holiday stress situations. For the most part, nearly all of the calls had something to do with the callers family being the cause of their troubles. When Travis came in, he talked briefly about how he felt his family screwed him up before discussing how the next month and a half, the holiday season, is a terrible time for him. He said he prefers to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas, as apposed to doing the whole family get-together thing. Nearly everyone in studio saw a problem with Traviss way of dealing with the holidays. Kevin will be in studio one more time before Christmas so stay tuned in. In the mean time, you can contact the fine folks at the Great Plains Counseling Center by calling 292-7712.
J Medicine Hat joined TnT this morning and hung out for a while. During his visit, he shared several very amusing stories with the guys. One story was about how he witnessed a bunch of hunters shooting geese over the interstate somewhere in Iowa. One of the geese that was blasted from the sky ended up falling through the passenger side of the windshield of the car directly in front of J. When J pulled over to see if the guy was okay, he was surprised to be recognized by the driver of the car. The Hat also told a story about bunking with a gay MC at a comedy condo in another state recently. The gay guy brought a man home that evening and woke J up at about 4am with some serious ass pounding noises coming from the other room. That lead J and TnT into a lengthy homosexual tangent, which was very funny. Medicine Hat also talked with TnT about Indonesian dick washers. Ill have to leave that one to your imagination. You can catch J at the Funny Bone for the next two weeks. There will be no show on Thanksgiving night but, I believe, there will be X-rated shows on both of the next Monday nights. Phone 493-8036 for reservations and/or information.
Love Tap came in studio today and played a couple of songs for TnT. Theyve got a CD in stores now called, All Out Of Heroes and can be found at Homers, as well as several other local area record stores. You can catch them playing at the Howard Street on Friday and the Music Box on Saturday. Also, visit their web site at http://www.lovetapmusic.com target=blank>www.lovetapmusic.com.
Tomorrow Blue House will be in studio playing a couple of tunes for TnT as their pre-Thanksgiving tradition continues. The guys will also have a phone guest from Comedy Central so make sure to tune in for the last live show of the week. Keep in mind that Best Of TnT shows will be airing nonstop on Thursday and Friday from 6am to 6pm so you and your mom can enjoy 24 hours of Todd and Tyler.
Well, thats the update for today. Tune in tomorrow from 5:30am to 10am for another show and then check back here in the afternoon for the update. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
