Tuesday 11-27-01

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing the cold, windy weather and wondering why they live in this state. Todd mentioned that even though he just got back from vacation, he was already planning his next trip out of Nebraska last night. During their early morning discussion, Donnie mentioned that he is also looking to leave town around Christmas and was trying to find a warm place that was close enough to Nebraska that he could drive there. After he suggested a couple of spots, TnT shot them down due to the massive amount of drive time it would take Donnie to get there and back. Also early on, after a discussion of one of yesterday’s brief, late-in-the-show topics, the guys took calls from brothers on whether or not Black Tony is a geek. It turns out that Tony fits into the “geek” category, as described by several of the brother callers, but he’s actually more of a neck because he likes wrestling.

Todd and Tyler’s new CD, “Wood Eye?” has reached the #2 spot in local sales at area Homers stores. Creed’s new album is the only one that is selling more. “Wood Eye?” even outsold the new Kid Rock album as well as Rob Zombie’s most recent collection. In 5^th place on the Homers chart was “Greetings from Throckmorton”, TnT’s first CD. TnT thought that if they were able to count the CDs sold at the local Quik Trips, they would surely surpass Creed. Even though the QT CDs aren’t counted, TnT seemed pleased with holding the #5 and #2 spot in local sales.

TnT spoke with Chad from Ticket Express today. They wanted to find out what sort of effect the recent Husker loss would have on business, as well as finding out whether or not Chad had airline tickets to cancel now. TnT talked about the Husker situation with Chad for a bit before talking about a few other events Ticket Express can help you get into, including a big U2 concert in KC tonight.

TnT received an e-mail from a listener saying that TnT were going to be getting some homemade porn in the mail soon. The guys liked the idea and through talking about amateur porn, they eventually landed on the subject of watching other people have sex or being watched while having sex by someone else. TnT, as well as Donnie, all shared various stories about times they had witnessed someone else having sex before opening up the phone lines to their listeners. Scattered throughout the remainder of the show, the guys took calls and read e-mails relating to the topic. Honestly, though, the best stories came not from listeners, but from Tyler.

Motivational speaker Tony Robbins was supposed to phone TnT this morning for an interview at around 8am. By 9am, TnT still hadn’t gotten his call and were quite amused that the motivational speaker wasn’t motivated enough to phone them. Before the show ended today, Donnie mentioned that he received a call and the interview was rescheduled for another date. So now all of you Personal Power fans should be motivated to stay tuned to TnT.

During Brian’s entertainment report, he mentioned how he just found out that a game he and his friends used to play as kids has been turned into a board/party game. Brian and his friends used to call it, “What would you rather do?” while the actual board game version is titled “Zobmondo”, as several resourceful listeners reported. TnT discussed the idea of the game and then hit the web site to get a few sample questions. From there, the guys spent a bit of time coming up with their own Todd and Tyler style Zobmondo questions such as would you rather give your father or your buddy a hand zinger? If there were two butts poking out of holes in the wall, and one was a dudes, would you chance taking care of that knowing it could be a guy? Would you rather nail your sister or your aunt? For the most part, nearly all of the suggestions TnT came up with had something to do with guy on guy sex or incest. The entire conversation was hilarious and had me rolling in stitches. Tomorrow is going to be Dr. Ed’s last in-studio visit to the Todd and Tyler show before he moves to Texas. The guys read over a press release about his move, which detailed his career here as well as how he became a part of the TnT show. It sounds like TnT are working on some radio magic to allow Dr. Ed to still take part in their show from Texas but they haven’t mentioned any specific details yet.
