| Wookin Pa Nub ![]() ![]() | TnT Show 12-11-2001 Tuesday 12-11-01 Todd and Tyler stared off their show this morning by playing CDNOW target=blank>Supertramps Give A Little Bit in response to the plethora of GAP ads on the TV lately that are using the tune. The commercials seem to be driving both of them nuts. The guys discussed the various artists singing on the commercials for a bit and talked about which ones they thought did a good job and which ones they felt werent. They also read over a few hate e-mails from listeners bitching at them for a variety of reasons. One claimed that the only reason they took part in the anti-Felps protest last Friday was for publicity, another e-mailer was upset with TnT for their Husker talk. TnT also played a hate call that was recorded recently where the caller complained about his kids hearing the TnT show. During his call, he also threatened to turn TnT into the Federal Communications Bureau, which the guys found rather amusing because as far as they are aware, that agency doesnt exist in the United States. After hearing all of the hate in the early segments of the show, the guys brought things up a bit by announcing that their newest CD, Wood Eye has maintained the #1 sales slot at local Homers stores for the second week in a row. Brians newscast was full of dead kids again this morning. Actually, I think this mornings news had the most dead kid stories of any other show to date. It started off with a story about the trial of the Iowa woman who left her kid in the back of her van while she went to work. Then he did a story about the woman who killed all 5 of her kids in Texas. To wrap up the news, he did a story about a 60-year-old babysitter who had a heart attack and fell over, crushing a 5-week-old baby to death. I believe that brought the grand total of dead kids to 7 this morning. After the news, TnT took quite a few phone calls from listeners talking about the various dead kid stories. Other callers wanted to discuss the hate call TnT played earlier in the show about the guys raising other peoples kids. Todd and Tyler spoke with future Hall of Famer Jerry Rice of the Oakland Raiders this morning. They spent some time talking about his career in the NFL with the 49ers and the Raiders; they touched on the current season, staying in shape as one of the older players in the NFL and how he relates to the younger players. They also discussed what an ass http://www.vikings.com/Players/RandyMoss.htm target=blank>Randy Moss of the Vikings is. Currently Jerry is selling a new candy for kids called http://www.formula127.com/ target=blank>Jerry Rices Playmakers candy that is available at AMATEUR WIVES - Amateurs // Nude Amateurs // Amateur Gangbang. Even though there was a slightly annoying echo due to some technical glitches during the interview, it was still very cool to hear TnT with Jerry Rice. Hopefully the interview will end up on a Best Of show in the near future so stay tuned. DJ Pussy Puss and Slave Boy Zack were at the 75th and L Street Runza this morning collecting toys for the Stuff the Chub campaign. Throughout the show, the pair checked in to report on the progress of donations. The two will also be at the 76th and Dodge Street Toys R Us location this afternoon from 4pm to 6pm collecting new, unwrapped toys and cash donations. Stop on out and see DJ Pussy Puss and Zack Mehoff today.
Another interesting topic during From the new Comedy Central show called Beat The Geeks, TnT spoke with http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_show...eks/tv.jhtml target=blank>Paul Goebel, the designated TV Geek for the show. The guys got details on the creation and format of the show and talked about Pauls career as a standup comedian. Throughout the interview, the guys tried to stump Paul with various obscure TV references but were unable to do so, as Paul knew the answer to every question they tossed at him. He even knew Auto Man, one of Donnies questions about a short-lived TV show in the 80s (Ive been trying to remember the name of that show for years!). Paul was pretty cool and seemed to play along well with Todd and Tyler. There are 65 episodes of Beat The Geeks ready to be aired so tune in to Comedy Central at 6:30pm each night for a new one. Frank DeFord was supposed to phone TnT this morning but blew them off. It really didnt seem to matter much to TnT though because they spoke with Frank about a month ago about his new book already. Perhaps the guys will reschedule Frank in the future. Until then, feel free to search the TnT show archived daily updates for details on his last conversation with TnT. After their discussion with the guy from Beat The Geeks, TnT spent some time discussing geekish things they do. Todd had quite a few geekish activities that he admitted to including his days as a speech team junky, fishing, and his love for weather knowledge. Donnie is, of course, a wrestling geek and he also said he used to dig building models but now that hes an adult, he doesnt have the time. During the entertainment report, Brian asked TnT to answer a question he saw on Jeopardy yesterday. The question was who has been nominated for an Oscar twice for playing the same character in different movies? There were a few problems with his question, though. First of all, he wasnt sure he had the question correct. Brian couldnt remember if the Jeopardy question was asking about nominated people or people who had actually won the Oscar. Secondly, he couldnt remember the 4 possible answers. The whole gang tried to come up with the four actors names for about a half hour. Callers checked in as well and that really seemed to piss Donnie off. Donnie was pissed because without knowing the answers for sure, there really wasnt much point in the callers checking in with their guesses. He flew off the handle at Brian a couple of times for opening the can of worms, which was quite amusing, before he gave up on answering the phones completely in a fit of rage. I believe TnT finally figured out the answers to the question and moved on. To wrap up todays show, TnT spent a little time talking about an article in the paper about Dr. Ed. The article was about how Dr. Ed is moving out of town and discussed his career here in Omaha, including his time with Channel 7 and his bi-weekly appearances on the Todd and Tyler show. As they read the article, TnT were amused at some of the quotes Dr. Ed gave, which included two bullet to the head references. The guys thought those references alone were obviously a nod to Dr. Eds time spent with TnT. It was a pretty cool article. Unfortunately, in doing a search for Dominguez on Omaha.com, I was unable to locate the article for your viewing pleasure. Well, thats the big Tuesday update. Tune in tonight at 10pm for the 3rd Shift Replay and then listen tomorrow from 5:30am to 10am for another show. Thanks for watching. Good night. -Corby-
