Todd and Tyler began their show this morning with a little reaction to last night’s Z Night at the Funny Bone with Dom Irrera. They said the show was great and urged their listeners to see it this weekend. Also, today was Todd and Tyler day, or at least the anniversary of last year’s declaration by the governor. Brian came in and did news this morning. During the news, the gang got into a heated debate over the invention of tape. The debate began after a “red tape” mention in a news story. Tyler said he recently found out where the term “red tape” came from and that’s when the trouble started. Donnie, Brian, Todd and Tyler all argued over when scotch tape was invented, whether the terms “ribbon” and “tape” were interchangeable, what was used for adhesive during the pre-scotch tape era and much more. It was a silly argument, they all seemed to acknowledge, but it was quite funny nonetheless. Believe it or not, TnT actually got phone calls from listeners this morning on the red tape topic.

TnT spent a little time talking about how DJ Pussy Puss and Zack Mehoff drove to Kansas City yesterday for apparently no reason. The two made the trip to see Aerosmith and left some time around 2pm. Unbeknownst to them, the show was cancelled. Some people at the radio station tried to get a hold of Pussy yesterday afternoon in order to tell him not to make the trip but they were unable to reach him. TnT speculated that the two were listening to CDs on the way down to KS and because they weren’t tuned in to any local KS radio stations, that was the reason they didn’t know the show was cancelled until they pulled into the arena’s parking lot. Big Pussy came in studio and told the story to TnT. During his visit, he informed TnT that he, Zack, and his cousin/roommate ended up getting a beer or two at a micro-brewery before spending an hour in a Kansas City strip club. His female roommate didn’t go in with them, opting instead to sit in the car waiting for Pussy and Zack to leave the titty bar before making the trip back to Omaha last night. TnT got a kick out of the tale and speculated that Zack and Pussy probably had a better time, or at least a better story to tell, going to Kansas City for the cancelled Aerosmith show than they would have had actually seeing the concert.

DJ Pussy Puss and Tongue Stud the Elf, an unidentified and obviously hot member of the station’s personnel, were at the QT in Bellevue this morning collecting toys for Stuff the Chub. They checked in throughout the show and gave TnT progress reports of the collections. At one point, Tongue Stud the Elf detailed all of her body piercings to TnT, who then went into older guy drooling over hot young chick’s ass shock. It was quite funny to here the temporary pause in conversation as the mental wheels of every male in the studio came to a screeching halt after Tongue Stud mentioned her nipple rings. Todd and Tyler spoke with Bill Lagattuta from CBS’s “48 Hours” about a show they are airing at 9pm tonight. This evening’s program is going to talk about the people from a unit called http://www.cbsnews.com/now/story/0,1...412,00.shtml” target=blank>Rescue 1 who are in charge of rescuing the rescuers when things go bad. Bill shared some of the details about tonight’s program and it sounds like it could be pretty good. Tune in to Channel 3 tonight at 9pm for 48 Hours.

Dave Rimington came in studio and hung out with TnT today. He is in town to present the http://www.rimingtontrophy.com/” target=blank>Rimington Trophy for the outstanding center in college football. The event is taking place in Lincoln tomorrow night and all the details are available on his web site, rimingtontrophy.com. He talked about the creation of the award, the trophy itself, and the player who is receiving the award this year. Dave, who’s office was in New York’s Trade Center, spent a little time talking to the guys about the World Trade Center tragedy. He knew many of the people who died from the Canter Fitzgerald company. TnT didn’t want to dwell on the sad WTC discussion too much so they moved on.

Throughout the remainder of the show and Dave’s visit, he shared a bunch of stories about his time in the NFL with TnT. One tale involved a crack head breaking into his home while he was out of town and stealing a bunch of his rings. He shared stories about his whacked Bangles coaches and talked about having a storage unit in Kentucky that went untouched for 14 years. Dave is a very funny guy and was full of stories that everyone seemed to enjoy today. Rimington mentioned that he might try to make it back into town to join the Todd and Tyler Traveling Dodge Ball All Star team in a couple of months but couldn’t be for sure if he would be able to make it.

Larry the Cable Guy phoned TnT this morning and delivered a very funny commentary on the bin Laden video. Before he gave his commentary, Larry the Cable Smoker checked in and sang a humorous gay Christmas carol for the real Larry. The real Larry didn’t seem to mind it too much though. Also, as an added bonus this morning, Larry put a porn star on the phone with TnT. Her name was Jessie James, an old friend of Larry’s that said she has never nailed him but wouldn’t be apposed to it if her husband would let her. She talked with TnT about some of the movies she has been in and then pimped a pie tightening device called the http://www.mykm.com/” target=blank>Kegel Master 2000, which consequently also works to tighten one’s bung.

Dom Irrera from the Funny Bone joined TnT for the last hour of their program. He joined in on the topics of the day and seemed to have a pretty good time hanging out with the guys. Before the program ended, Colleen from the Funny Bone brought in a CD that had a song on it written for Dom by a group called the Approach. TnT played the song but no one really seemed to get it. Dom mentioned that he will be appearing on Politically Incorrect soon so keep an eye out for him. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations to this weekend’s shows. You won’t be disappointed.
