Wednesday 1-16-02

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by discussing the weather. According to all of the TV stations, we were supposed to get up to two inches of snow overnight. Well, surprise, surprise. When the guys got on the air at 5:30am today, there wasn’t a single flake on the ground. Due to the weathermen’s prediction of snow, TnT thought they would have to bring in an alternate newsperson for their show this morning. You see if it snows, Brian would not have been able to make it in because he must supplement his income by plowing the white stuff. So the guys arranged for Trisha Meuret from Channel 7 to come in. Due to the lack of the lack of snow, Trisha and Brian did a sort of tag team newscast this morning. While the two were preparing the newscast, Donnie came in and told TnT about how he went all over town yesterday with a dime-sized booger stuck to his mustache. This lead into a brief discussion about facial hair and Donnie’s lack thereof and it also spawned a few booger calls from the TnT listening audience.

Candy, a regular caller to the TnT show, phoned the guys early this morning with a question about juggling men. Luckily for us all, her call stopped any further discussion or calls related to boogers. Candy claimed the question was not about her, instead stating it was about a friend of hers but TnT didn’t seem to believe her. She wanted to know when you should tell guy #1 that you’ve began dating guy #2, if when you first started dating guy #1 nothing was mentioned about being exclusive or if mentioned, the lady wasn’t dating anyone exclusive at that time and guy #2 entered the picture later. TnT told her that her friend should probably tell guy #1 shortly after or once she realized that she might dig guy #2 more. Candy was surprised at Todd and Tyler’s response, as she wasn’t expecting such a mature answer from them. Once TnT found out that she was searching for the real guy point of view, TnT changed their tune and told Candy to tell her friend to nail’em both until she gets caught. Later in the show, TnT reintroduced the topic and spent some time talking about it with Jessica Dol.

Brian and Trisha came in and did the news together. There were a couple of stories about bad men of the cloth banging little kids again, which TnT had fun with for a bit. Humorously, Brian and Trisha bounced off of each other from story to story with the insert name of fellow anchor here then followed by the “Thank you” response from the other anchor before leading into the next story. After the news, Trisha hung out for a while and joined in on the topics of the day. She got a kick out of the audio Todd and Tyler played from when Brian tried to question Hal Daub about firing his uncle a couple of years ago. TnT played the clip several times throughout the show and piled on Brian for his pitiful verbal assault of the former mayor. “The only constant is YOU!” What a question!

Brian had his colonostamy done yesterday. He talked with TnT about his experience and claimed that due to the drugs, he really couldn’t remember much about the procedure. The put him in the fart room but he was so groggy that he couldn’t remember any significant release of gas. When he finally came to, he went out to eat at a steak house and massively pigged out, yet not to the extent of any of last year’s Big Beefy Fridays. Surprisingly, Brian said that his butt didn’t hurt today but admitted to not having had a bowel movement since the anal intrusion. He mentioned that the doctors really didn’t find anything wrong with him on the inside so his next step is to change his diet, a diet that will be worked out for him by the doctor in the next week or two.

Larry the Cable Guy checked in this morning and delivered another commentary. For the life of me, I can’t remember what it was about. Listen later in the week for another memorable Larry moment.

After the debacle of the VW Fox from earlier in the week, the guys thought they would help Brian out this morning by trying to find him a $350 car on the air. They opened up the pone lines for listeners to check in who had a car they would be willing to sell Brian for $350. They got a ton of calls throughout much of the show, some serious offers, some very funny joking calls. In the end, only one car was worthy of Brian’s very picky attention, a convertible Chrysler La Baron. Some car dealership in Fremont drove the vehicle to the station for Brian to check out. TnT got a look at the car out the window and from what they could see, Brain was getting the car at a steal. As the show ended, Brian was test-driving the car and it sounded like he was going to buy it, although Donnie kept offering the dealership more money, trying to outbid Brian for the vehicle. It was pretty funny stuff.

TnT spoke with the Funny Bone’s headliner for the weekend, http://www.funnyboneomaha.com/bios/BillyDandKid.html” target=blank>Billy D. Washington. He was checking in from the Houston and spent some time talking about the airlines and security with TnT. He then went into how he and Kid from the ‘80s rap group Kid & Play got together on the comedy circuit. Billy D. seemed pretty funny and played nicely with Todd and Tyler. Kid will be joining TnT in studio tomorrow and Billy D. will be in on Friday so make sure to tune in. Call the Bone Phone at 493-8036 for reservations to this weekend’s shows.

DJ Pussy Puss came in studio towards the end of the show and told TnT about a competition he is having with the Freak. The two are going to compete and see which one of them can lose the most weight within 3 months. The winner of the contest will be treated to a Kansas City weekender on the other one. The guys talked with Pussy about how much he and the Freak currently weigh. Even though Big Pussy is a little heavier than Freak, he’s got at least 6 inches of height on him, as the Freak is kind of short and think. I’m sure we’ll be getting constant updates on the weight loss progress of the two Z jocks over the next couple of months.

Tomorrow TnT will be speaking with Mark Walburg, the host of Fox’s “Temptation Island” program. Kid, who will be appearing at the Funny Bone this weekend, will also join them.
