Wednesday 1-8-02

Todd and Tyler started off their show this morning by addressing the signal problem the station has been having over the last couple of days. Evidentially, Z is switching to it’s own tower and in the mean time, they’re on auxiliary power. This has been causing some people not to be able to hear the show and oddly, as the guys found out, the station’s signal seemed to be overshooting Omaha but it has been able to be picked up in many of the smaller, more distant surrounding communities. With their upcoming trip to Lincoln’s 61^st and O Street Homer’s location on Saturday morning, the guys were a bit worried that no one would be able to hear that they were coming to the capital city. They asked for a Lincoln phone book, stating they’d just call everyone in the town and let them know of their coming, and got a phone call from their paper boy who said he’d drop one off for them tomorrow. From there, the guys spent some time talking about what they did last night. They seemed to focus most of the discussion on last night’s depressing ‘’NYPD Blue’’ episode, which showed a burned, dead baby.

BW came in a little later in the show with this morning’s newscast. There was some talk about Putz and his attorney James Martin Davis, the guys talked briefly about the horrible situation in Plattsmouth involving the missing little boy, Todd expressed his feelings about being ‘’the buddy who didn’t get humped’’ in high school, the gang discussed a lady who let some opossums suckle on her boobs, and BW told the guys about getting blasted in the face by a guy while jamming some Wham in Cunningham Park back in high school.

Around 7am, Todd and Tyler fired up their connection to Dr. Ed in Tyler, TX. They all started off by talking about the holiday season, which were quite busy for Dr. Ed. Then TnT asked the Dr. about the herbal boob pills they had an interview about yesterday. Dr. Ed went to the web and as the guys read him the list of ingredients, he described what each of the herbs is supposed to do. It did seem, though, that Dr. Ed thought the pills wouldn’t work. They then moved on to discuss a variety of topics including the flu, immunities babies have just after birth, areola doners, ass itch tips, chunky loads, pocket-sized heart attacks, brown spooge, coxcombs, and the effects of holding in farts. TnT also filled Dr. Ed in on the testicular guillotine guy that they’ve been talking about this week. It was another great visit with everyone’s favorite medical professional. Dr. Ed will be back on the air with Todd and Tyler in about two weeks so if you didn’t get the chance to ask him your medical question today, keep that in mind.

During their visit with Dr. Ed, TnT did some trained counseling for one of their listeners. The lady checked in with a sob story about her boyfriend that she broke up with and has recently gotten back together with. At first, the guys were a bit sympathetic to her, expressing that from her story, it sounded like the guy was dovetailing. In fact, as she described her point of view on the way her boyfriend was behaving, Tyler pointed out that it sounded exactly like how he used to be 8 years ago. Later in the call, the man in the story got on the line and shared his view on the relationship. After hearing his side, TnT seemed to switch their thoughts and sided with the man. By the end of the call, everyone just seemed confused (including Dr. Ed) so TnT ended the conversation. Later, the lady tried to call back and tell TnT about how fat her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend was but by then, they’d already had enough of her and hung up. It was pretty funny stuff.

J Medicine Hat and Sean Gnandt from the Funny Bone joined TnT in studio today and hung out for the remainder of the show. They both shared a couple of stories including Hat telling TnT about how he nearly cut a fat guy open after a shoving match at a Cleveland club a while back and Sean telling the guys about how one of his jokes sent a lady in the audience into a coma.

Todd and Tyler spoke to comedian/actor Bobby Slaton this morning. He’s coming to the Funny Bone for a couple of shows next Thursday and Friday evening. They began by talking about the HBO show he’s on, ‘’The Mind of A Married Man’’, which he said hasn’t been picked up for another season yet. They also covered Travis, ‘’the boy who doesn’t masturbate’’ and TnT pointed out that they’ve now got a second boy who doesn’t masturbate, BW. Bobby will be joining the guys in studio next week to pile on Trav and Brian so make sure you don’t miss that. Speaking of (earlier) the boy who doesn’t masturbate, Travis phoned in from the airport this morning, as he’s on his way to Peoria, IL to cover tonight’s Creighton basketball game. It seemed that the only reason for his call was to read the sports sponsor. In his place, BW came in with today’s sports report later in the show. During that time Sean Gnandt did one of the best Mark Gross impressions in the history of time. He totally nailed Gross, causing TnT, BW, and J to laugh uproariously. He also did a pretty good Medicine Hat impression. ‘’And sleep.’’

TnT spent some time this morning trying to find some ladies who would be willing to try the boob growing herbal pills they discussed yesterday. They set down one rule for any lady willing to participate in the experiment; she had to be willing to show her cans ‘’before’’ and ‘’after’’ taking the pills. A few ladies checked in to offer themselves up as test subjects but were unwilling to follow the rules. Several others, however, were willing to show off their boobs and try the pills for the guys. As the boob pill testing goes on, I’m sure we’ll get frequent updates so make sure to stay tuned.

BW returned towards the end of today’s show with his entertainment report. Sean and Medicine Hat joined in with Todd and Tyler as they discussed this morning’s e-news stories and the ‘’Who the hell is that?’’/’’Would you lick that?’’ segment. TnT also expressed their disappointment in the lack of smack coming from Bennington, as tomorrow night’s Dodge Ball season opener approaches. Perhaps they’ll get some calls from Bennington residents tomorrow. By the way, you’ll be able to catch J and Sean at the Funny Bone all week by phoning 493-8036 for reservations.
